I flop down onto my bed, the musty smell of my dog engulfs my nose."WHINNIE" I scream. Whinnie scampers across the floor, her freshly trimmed nails clatter with each step. I scoop her up into my arms. Her soft golden fur tickling my neck. She licks my face. Being with Whinnie gets my mind off everything. The doorbell rings and Whinnie is flung out of my arms as I run for the door. As I scramble down the stairs the door opens. On the other side of the door appears the most unlikely person."Lilly, holly crap you look like a giraffe" my uncle says. "Am I really that tall? I'm not really giraffe-like" I tell Uncle Marvin. He comes in for a hug. The sent of beer on his breath. He stumbles and sits down at the table, forgetting to take off his shoes. "So Lilly, I have something to show you" he says in a raspy hushed tone. He makes himself at home, sifting through our kitchen doors. He stops,he stops dead in his tracks when he comes to my laptop."Yes,yes its the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow" he screams in a drunken manor. He then sets the laptop on the table and jams the charging cord into the outlet. He flicks open the laptop, clicks on the Internet and begins typing. His fingers dance across the keyboard. Pretty amazing for a person who is always drunk, I think to myself. Images of people pop up. He clicks on one and hands the laptop to me. " This guy seems like the PERFECT match for you" he says. " Dude, I'm fifteen. Why the heck would I date a 27 year old" I say. Marvin became inraged. He violently kicked his feet and grabbed his bags. "Here" he screamed while tossing me a bedazzled phone case. " I got this on my way home from Florida. Seriously, just think about it this guy seems just your type." He grabbed the doorknob and twisted it violently. He then slamed it before I could say thanks. "Well... That was weird" I say aloud. I pull my phone out of my butt pocket. I rub the case between my hands while trying to make sense of everything. Why would he set me up with a 27 year old? Wait, why would he set me up with anyone in the first place? Did he drive here impared? I pull on the silicone of the case, slipping my phone into it. The case is amazing, it's blue jewls flash when the light hits it! I go back to my laptop, I stare blankly at the mans photo. My computer flickers and a message appears. "Hi" it says. I debate whether to type back. Then I suddenly find my fingers flying across the keyboard. That's when he typed the message, the message that changed everything.
