The plan to take down the Russian mafia isn't really moving. Dante hasn't really helped because he has some kind of connection with them. How? Any time I tried to make an alliance, I was sent the bodies of my men.

The ball is tomorrow. She might be there. That's the only thing people know about the Russian mafia leader. That it's a woman and she has a woman as her second in command.

Vera Kozlov. She is one of the worlds best assassins, and like I said before the second in command. She is close friends with Dante's wife. I saw so when she visited Andy in her office. Kozlov's life isn't as hidden. She was a model for Victoria Secret for about 3 years.

Kozlov's parents were killed in car accident when she was 7. The Russian mafia had taken her in. I can pretty much Google her on the dark web. I even know her public address. Of course she doesn't live there all the time.

The door to my office slowly creaks open. Long, brown hair is the first thing I see. In steps Lucia Rossi. The woman that I am going to marry in a few years. She was my fathers second in command's daughter. We are put into this relationship unhappily. Lucia is not a confronting person, so I'm the person that knows she is in love. With a woman.

"Hey, is there anyway that I can skip the gala?" She eyes me hesitant. "I have a thing with Sarah. We were planning to go on a little trip. She has a break from work." Sarah and Lucia have been together for about 5 years. They got engaged two years ago, but have been too busy to go to the courthouse.

I look at her. She pretty much grew up with me. Part of the reason we are getting 'married'. We had made a plan for her to run after they got engaged. "Listen, I can let you go this one time. My mother has been getting suspicious about us not spending enough time together." I felt bad for her. She never wanted to marry me. I didn't want to marry her either. I wanted love. The kind of love Dante has with Andy.

"Omg. You are the best. If I weren't a lesbian, I would have maybe married you." She hurries over to me and kisses my cheek before skipping out the door. I rolled my eyes.

I hear my email chime with a notification. I look over at the screen of my computer, and see the message appear. I click to see the rest. It was from Andy's company. They had told me that my shipment of the model-13 was being sent out to a warehouse this week.

I was going to use these to try and take over a Russian base. I have found at least 5 in near by areas. This was my chance. The ball is meant to be a distraction. It is to take away their supplies. Their guard will be down for a while.

I stroll out of my office and down the hall to the kitchen. In there, I see Dante on the phone. He is smiling like a fool. "I love you too, be safe" he hung up the phone and turned to face me. "Oh, hey Nic. How's it going?" He leaned against the counter.

"Nothing much. Was that your wife on the phone? Is she alright?" I look at him only to revive a sly smirk.

"She fine, just some tough clients." He laughs as he thinks about it. "This guy thought that she didn't understand Portuguese, so he tried to cheat her. She then shot him in his knee." He shook his head.

Damn, that's kinda brutal. I wonder how many languages she can speak? "How many languages can she speak?" I wonder if he will answer.

"I'm not sure. She speaks a lot of different ones." He looks past me and to the door. "Hey Sofia," my sister wanders over to the fridge and grabs out one of her work out shakes.

"Hola, Dante. ¿Cómo estás?" Sofia asked politely. She always spoke Spanish when she got the chance. It was the third language she had wanted to learn. We grew up speaking Italian and English. As we got older we had the option to learn a few new languages. Spanish, German, and Mandarin. My mother knows Mandarin. My father knows the other ones. (Spanish for: hello. How are you?)

"Muy bien, gracias.¿Y tu?" He replied back. His Spanish is extremely well as he speaks it quite often. Dante smiled at her as they had a small conversation is Spanish. She stopped and asked him how to say certain things and I wandered out. (Spanish for: very good, thanks. And you?)

I found my self in the garage staring at the sleek black mustang. A ride to the store and back won't hurt. I hung my arm out the window as the cool air of the midday blew against my face.

My phone rang. I answered but didn't look at the ID. "Hello?" I raised an eyebrow wondering who would call me.

"While you are out why don't you swing by, " The voice was smooth through the phone. Andy? How did she know I was driving? And how did she get my cell? I give out my burner number to people that aren't my family.

I thought about my reply. "What do you want with me?" I heard her laugh on the the other side of the phone.

"Come find out." With that she hung up the phone. What the hell did she mean? I guess I will find out. I was in deep thought driving to her business. I pulled into the parking lot and found a spot near the doors.

The receptionist smiled at me as I walked to the elevator. The slow, quiet music coming from the speaker in the elevator wasn't very clear. I stepped out and the floor was empty. A faint light came front the door of her office. "Come on in Mr. Romano." Her voice was soft and cold.

What the hell am I about to walk into?
