the sun was hidden away as ameila arrived home. a happy meal in hand along with a medium dr pepper as she went to her room in a hurry. she didn't know what she felt, she felt weird. she didn't know how much she missed him until she had talked to him again.
until she wanted to hug him before she left, or invite him over for dinner so he could stay over. she missed him, she missed her boy.
then it hit her. the way she felt walking home, tears running down her face as she ignored the texts he was sending her. and then she no longer felt like she missed him.

the feeling of her blankets around her body kept her sane. her phone on the charger beside her head and the ceiling fan running wild. the constant spinning of the fan mimicked the way her head was spinning, her mind running circles.
reminding her of that night. the backlash and how the internet treated her for months after. because of him.
she missed him, no doubt about it. yet she wouldn't let herself tell him, she wouldn't allow herself to show it, and she sure as hell wouldn't allow herself to have him again.
sometimes she found herself wondering, if he still missed her. if he was sorry for what he put her through and if he truly could ever understand the pain he had put her through.

her mother pushed open the door to her bedroom, aswell as opened the curtains. blinding the tired teen. "get up! get ready!" her mother spoke as ameila groaned into her pillow, speaking words that couldn't be understood.
"i'm gonna pretend i know what you just said" amelia's mother spoke with a slight laugh as she pulled the blankets off ameila who groaned. "stop" ameila groaned as her mother sighed. "the neumanns are coming over" ameila sat up straighter then she expected staring at her mother.
"your kidding!" ameila yelled as she stared at her mother. "say jk!" ameila added as she pointed to her mother in frustration. "i'm not saying jk. and i'm being serious now get up" she added as ameila shook her head flopping into her bed.
"come on you said everything seemed fine between you two" she spoke as she sat down beside her daughter who had her face stuffed into the pillow. "yeah because we talked for like two minutes" ameila added as she groaned. lexa gently ran her fingers in amelia's hair.
"i'm sure it wasn't that bad" lexa spoke with a shrug as ameila groaned once again. "it wasn't! that's the problem!" ameila added as she rolled over onto her back staring at her mother. "i'm confused. why's that bad" ameila grumbled a response to her mother who rolled her eyes.
"it's normal to miss people babes, sometimes it's best to just forgive people" lexa spoke softly to ameila who rolled her eyes shaking her head. "easy for you to say, you weren't humiliated" ameila muttered under her breathe as her mother shook her head standing up. "just think about it, everyone deserves a second chance!" she spoke with a smile.
"you got a second chance! after you ran over the squirrel in my car" she spoke with a grin as ameila shook her head. "stop! i still feel bad." ameila mumbled as her mother left shutting the door behind her. leaving her daughter to sulk in her room.
