- He takes active steps toward becoming better. Truth be told Ran knows he's not perfect and you know that as well. At least he recognise his shortcomings and areas of where he needs to grow both as a partner and person. When you give feedback he takes it without getting defensive and he'll take his responsibility for his own values, actions and issues and then he'll take steps toward change.

- He knows how to hold difficult and honest conversations. When he argues. He does not raise his voice or yell at you during an intense argument and that's a bonus. When you tell him he has hurt you, he acknowledges your feelings and apologies without any excuses. When he encourages you to talk about issues and are able to look at things from your perspective.
