Today was family day at Beacon. With the Festival now in full swing Ozpin decided it was a good time to have the students families visit them at Beacon. A chance for them to catch up, see what they've learned, meet their teachers and any new friends they made. Right now Joshua was in his office finishing up some paperwork regarding Emerald's unexpected departure from her team. The reason put down was Familial duties. He had just finished when Stacy opens the door.
Stacy: There you are!
Joshua: Pigeon, what's wrong?
Stacy: Your parents are here Graham Cracker!
Joshua's eyes widen and he sprints out the room to greet his family. Stacy was left stunned at the speed of Joshua. She runs up next to him and asks a question.
Stacy: Why are you running?
Joshua: If I don't greet my parents they'll not let me hear the end of it.
Joshua sees Jeane round the corner in front of them and immediately slows down to a walk. Stacy seeing this does the same. The patriarch and matriarch of the Arc family come around the corner.
Jeane: See I told he would meet us!
Mordred: I know sweetie, your father and I just thought he would be hiding himself in paperwork.
Joshua: Hello mother, father.
Arthur: My boy! How are you?! Give me a hug!
The two embrace in a father/son hug for a few seconds.
Joshua: I'm good. How are things back home?
Mordred: It's all good back there. We actually recently purchased the land nearby by. A massive canyon, flowing rivers and even a few tribes. We've call it Zion National Park. The tribes are still living there, they quite enjoy the stories of you.
Joshua: That is good news. God bless them. Although back to your earlier statement, I Hate paperwork.
Stacy: We've established that.
Joshua: Right, thank you.
Mordred: Oh, and who is this?
Joshua: This is Stacy Six, a colleague, and my ... girlfriend.
A few moments of silence pass
Mordred: Ha! I win!
Joshua: Excuse me?
Arthur: Your mother and I had a little wager going on, on whether you would get a girlfriend teaching here.
Mordred: No money was involved though, just bragging rights.
Joshua: *sigh*
Stacy: Ah, cheer up Graham Cracker. They don't seem that bad.
Joshua: I know, it's just nice to see my parents. It was a sigh of content.
Stacy: Oh.
Joshua: Don't worry you get used to their "antics". Shall we go to the cafeteria, it is almost lunch time.
Arthur: Good idea, you and Jeane can tell us all about your time here.
The family plus Stacy head to the cafeteria before all the students and their families arrive. They're now seated at a table.
Mordred: So how's Beacon treating you two?
Joshua and Jeane sigh in tandem.
Jeane: It's tough but manageable. My teammates are an interesting bunch.
Arthur: In what way?
Jeane: There's Pyrrha Nikos she is a nice person a bit over apologetic. Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie are Polar opposites, he's calm and quiet and she's energetic and very loud.
