Joshua, Stacy, Qrow and winter are in a Bullhead flying over the Emerald Forest. Inside Stacy was laying on her back with her head on Joshua's lap whilst he was doing some last minute checks on his weapon. Qrow was passed out on the seat across and Winter opted to sit next to Joshua as to avoid Qrow. Ozpin had sent them to check something out.
An hour earlier in Ozpin's office
Joshua and Stacy exit the elevator and see Ozpin, Goodwitch, Ironwood, Qrow and Winter looking at a holographic graph with worried/concerned expression
Stacy: So what did ya call us up here for?
Ozpin: Ah, thank you for-
He is cut off
Goodwitch: Sorry headmaster but I am going to have to cut you off there. Let us just skip the formalities, the skirting of the subject and let them know what's going on up front.
Ironwood: I agree with Miss Goodwitch. How can we expect them to trust us if we don't tell them exactly what's going on.
Qrow: Huh, never thought I would see the day when Jimmy agrees with someone else.
Winter looks at Qrow with a scowl
Winter: He has a rank you know?
Qrow walks up to Winter
Qrow: Weeell excuse me little miss soldier.
Joshua: I suggest you both stop before I make you. I have done it before and I'll do it again.
Stacy: I'd listen to him.
Qrow and Winter move away from each other whilst covering their ears, remembering their first interaction with Joshua.
Stacy: So can someone please tell us what's going on?
Ozpin directs all attention to the hologram.
Ozpin: About half an hour ago several sensors in the Emerald Forest picked up a massive energy spike near the temple used in initiation. I want you four to go and find any clues as to what caused this.
Ironwood: There's a Bullhead ready to take you there.
Back to the present
The inside of the Bullhead is quiet until the pilot's voice comes through the comms.
Pilot: We are nearing the LZ. Orders are to drop you off and return to Beacon. You are to radio in when your mission is complete!
Joshua taps Stacy's forehead
Joshua: Pigeon wake up.
Stacy shoots up with such speed that it made Winter's eyes widen in surprise
Stacy: I'm up
Joshua: We're here.
Winter: You got up rather quickly. Are you awake enough for this mission though?
Stacy gives Winter a smile as they feel the craft land.
Stacy: I'm a light sleeper, gotta be able to defend yourself against anything at a moments notice. Which reminds me.
Stacy gets up from her seat and walks to the passed out Qrow
Stacy: Here's a trick I learned back in Vacuo to wake up passed out drunks.
She proceeds to give Qrow a solid kick in the ribs, waking him from his drunken stupor and making him promptly fall onto the floor. This gets a chuckle from Joshua and a smirk from Winter
Qrow: Ow! What was that for?
Stacy: We have landed and your ass was out cold.
Qrow gets up from the floor with groan and follows the others off the bullhead. Soon as everyone gets out, the craft leaves the area and the group begins making their way to the temple. Unaware of the the set of eyes watching them from deep within the brush.
