Faye walked beside her mother while Wednesday and Cassian walked in front of them beside the sheriff. "How could you miss a dead body?" Wednesday asks, looking straight ahead as they walked, "'Cause it wasn't there. No footprints, no blood, no sign of a struggle. Nothing, nada. My search party looked all night." The sheriff tells the two.

"Well, your search party must have left their seeing-eye dogs at home. I saw that monster kill Rowan right in front of me. Cassian and Faye too." Wednesday says, looking at the man as they walked up the stairs.

"Did you get a good look at this monster thing?" The sheriff asks, looking at all three kids, "It didn't stick around for a chat." Cassian speaks up.

"Maybe it was one of your classmates." The sheriff states, "Sheriff, I find that question offensive." Larissa tells him, turning around to look at him.

"Well I don't care, 'cause I got three other dead bodies in the morgue. Hikers just ripped apart in the woods." The sheriff tells them. "The mayor said those were bear attacks." Larissa tells him.

"Well, the mayor and I disagree on that." The sheriff tells her, "So you automatically assume a Nevermore student is the murderer, even though there's no evidence a crime was even committed." Larissa states, staring the man down.

The sheriff shifts on his feet, "I'm sorry. i forgot, you only teach the good outcasts here, right?" he asks. Weems sighs, tilting his head.

Weems enters her office with Wednesday, Cassian, Faye, and the sheriff following behind her. Walking into her office, Larissa gestures to her office chairs. "My guess is Rowan ran away. State troopers have put out an alert, and I've contacted his family, but they haven't heard from him either." She informs the sheriff as she takes a seat.

Faye sighs, watching her mother, she was told all about her mothers plan for covering up the death of Rowan, but since Faye was still there she had different beliefs, leading to an argument between the two. Faye still being angered with her mother.

"Dead people are notoriously bad at returning calls." Cassian states, looking over at Weems. "What are you three doing out in the woods?" The sheriff asks, taking the other seat beside Faye.

"I heard a noise in the first and went to go investigate." Wednesday answers, lying through her teeth. "Yeah.. and Faye and I were hanging out and I was worried about my sister so we followed." Cassian also lies, his hand falling to the side of Faye as he stood beside her.

Faye nervously takes his hand, hoping no one would notice, but of course someone did. And it wasn't either of the two girls in the room. "That's when we stumbled upon the attack." Faye answers, looking over at the man.

"Then what happened?" The sheriff asks, "Then we ran into Bianca Barclay, and I told her to go for help." Faye states. "Next thing I remember, I was awaking in my dorm." Wednesday answers, Faye and Cassian nodding in agreement with the Addams girl.

"And just to be clear, this monster wasn't a bear or some other wild animal?" The Sheriff questions, looking towards Wednesday. "I've hibernated with grizzlies. I know the difference."

"Thank you, Sheriff. I think these three are done now." Weems says, standing to her feet. "Actually, I would like to speak to Sheriff Galpin. Alone." Wednesday speaks up, turning to her.

Everyone turns to her, confused by her request, well rather demand. "I'm not sure I can allow that." Larissa answers, looking at the girl. "I'm sure I could take her to the station and get a formal statement." Sheriff Galpin speaks up, still sitting in his seat.

Larissa eyes move from Wednesday, back to her daughter, and then over to Sheriff Galpin. The man does a half smile, quickly dropping it. It's quietly tense between everyone, "Yeah, let's go." Galpin says, going to stand up "Fine." Larissa says, eyeing the man still.

Larissa moves around her desk, "You have five minutes, and everything is off the record." She tells them, gesturing for the other two to follow her out. "Play nice.. or I will call the mayor." She tells the Sheriff, Cassian giving his hand to Faye as he helps her up and the two walk out before Faye's mother.

Faye and Cassian sneak around the corner, trying to listen in on the conversation but can't seem to hear them. "This is the one time I wish I was a werewolf." Faye grumbles, giving up as she takes a seat, knowing neither of the two are going to be able to hear them.

Cassian goes to sit beside Faye but stops in his tracks. "Faye." He says, reaching his hand back, not moving his eyes off the person walking towards him, "Hmm?" She asks, hearing him say something.

Looking up, Faye's eyes land on the person too. Rowan in full glory as he walks, "W-What?" Cassian stutters, "He shouldn't be walking! He was just attacked by.. whatever that thing was!" He whisper yells to Faye, who nods.

"Come on, let's get out of here." She tells him, grabbing his hand as she takes him away from the boy and the whole situation that was bound to happen.

Cassian and Faye sat in the girls dorm, trying to figure out how it happened. The door bursts open, entering Wednesday. "How the hell is he back?" She asks at a lose for words at the appearance of the dead boy. "We don't know." Cassian tells her making the goth girl sigh.

"Which is why when you're in your therapy session we'll go out and investigate, and you'll join us when you're done." Faye informs the girl, already starting to form together a plan in her head to help the twins out instead of her mother.

"Actually. We'll sit in the coffee shop that Tyler works at and wait on you, ok?" Cassian asks, not knowing why he didn't want to go out into the woods without his sister but sit in the coffee shop.

Faye nods, "Yea, I guess we could go over about why Rowan wanted to kill the two of you. Find the other half of the paper maybe." She tells her, her feet sitting on top of her desk as she spins a little.

Wednesday nods, liking that plan. "Shall we?" She asks, heading to the door. Faye nods, standing up and walking behind Wednesday as Cassian follows the two.

Having gotten a ride from her mom, Faye sat in the coffee shop, Cassian across from her as she drank a caramel frappe while Cassian has a plain black coffee as they looked through the papers on the booth table.

Faye stops, looking at the ripped out page that Wednesday had gotten from Rowen. Or at least what she stole off of his dead body.

But as she was looking, she finds a familiar symbol, one that linked back to the school.

Cassian noticed her staring at the page, "You okay?" He asks, looking at Faye as he takes a sip of his coffee, "Yea. Yeah, I'm okay." She nods, a smile coming to her face.

"Great. So what were you thinking about?" Cassian asks, taking the paper from her hands, and looking it over. Seeing nothing on particular that piqued his interest, or anything that seemed out of the blue.

"Oh it's nothing." Faye denies, the boy across from her raises his eyebrow, not wanting to force her to fess up he hands the paper back and goes back to looking at the mess of papers on the wooden table.

Faye sat in the room with Wednesday as she typed aggressively. The girl that laid on her bed sighs, ready to actually try and get this investigation on the road, holding the piece of paper from earlier she climbs down her ladder and makes her way over to Wednesday.

"So this might totally be nothing but.." Faye trails off, holding the paper to the lamp that Wednesday had on, a slight gray symbol appears.

Wednesday looks at it, looking between the girl and the paper before nodding to herself and beginning to sketch the symbol out on a piece of paper.
