I know you can't see much of the filling in the picture. But trust me, it's good no matter how you serve it. I usually eat mine on a bed of lettuce, but wrapped up in a tortilla is just as tasty.
Ingredients
-Meat(s) of choice ((I usually do chicken and/or shrimp, but ground meats work just as well. Ground turkey or deer is delicious))
-onion (sliced)
-bell pepper (sliced)
-jalapeño (optional, sliced)
-chili oil or olive oil ((cooking in chili oil makes it spicy. I use La Villana Morita Hot Sauce for the oil. A spoonful of those chilis mixed in with the veggies is good too. Be warned, very spicy imo))
-chipotle and fajita seasonings ((both by the brand Badia))
-garlic salt and black pepper to tasteDirections
Slice your vegetables and heat a thin layer of oil in a pan until hot. Cook vegetables on medium low heat until they go soft. Add your meat and cook until done. Season as you go. Serve either on tortillas or on a bed of lettuce. Top with any of the following:
-guacamole
-salsa
-pico de gallo
-La Villana Crunchy Sliced Jalapeños (or Serranos)
-pickled jalapeños
-Sour cream
-Lettuce
-Cheese ((I use 4 cheese Mexican blend))You can save the leftovers and turn them into nachos later on. Just layer chips into a baking pan, and top with your fajita leftovers and plenty of cheese. You can also top the finished product with the toppings listed above
