Chapter 30

Ljoe's POV

Where is she? Why did she suddenly run away from me. I wanted to talk to her again to clear everything.

I looked everywhere.

"Hey! Careful you jerk!"

"I'm so sorry. I'm in a hurry bye!"

"Hey wait!"

I looked at where the commotion was and I saw Veronica running away again.

"Veronica!! Wait! I need to talk to you!" I called out but she never stop.

I got myself here in the park. I totally lost my track to her. She really runs fast. haaay!

I decided to sit for awhile to just atleast rest my feet. I so have lots of thoughts in my mind the moment I saw Veronica.

Urghh.. So frustrating...

Why did she ran away the moment she saw me??

I remember everything.. Everything that we have.. The pain is back the moment I saw you..

I placed my palms on my forehead and looked down.. aaah shit these tears. I thought I already moved on?! or do I? or I just got this feeling because Veronica showed up suddenly?.

I suddenly hear foot steps louder and louder until I saw a girl's feet in front of me, wearing a pair of pink sneakers.

Then the girl sighed and she reached her hands to my face, cupped my cheeks and she slowly move my head to look up to face her.

I was shocked. I thought she'd really run away from me. My eyes kept on producing tears and I can't help it. I can feel the pain again. I thought I already moved on. But here I am again, tearing myself in front of her.

She sighed again and smiled. Her smile, her smile that makes my heart pumps faster that the usual. Her captivating smile.

"Why are you still following me, Byeonghunnie" she said, still with a smile.

"Veronica" is all I can say. And I hugged her, tightly. I'm out of words. I just want to hug her, and hold her in my arms right at this moment.

"Hush byung,"she said comforting me to stop crying then she let goes of the hug.

"Where have you been? Why didn't you tell me the truth? Why did you lie?" I ask while looking at her directly. She also looked at me but she immediately looked away.

"I guess Tao already told you." She said, still without looking at me and sighed.

"I have to do it byung. I really need to. What do you think will happen if I stayed with you?" She asked.

"I'll protect you. I'll protect you from those bullies and I'll hunt those people who bullied you!"

"No, byung. Worst. They will still bully me. I really loved you at that time byung. But I gave up easily because of those who are against me. Against me to be your girlfriend." she said and tears started to flow in her eyes. I really don't know the burden that she was carrying when we are still together. I really am out of words.

"I guess I really don't deserve you byung" she said and faked a smile while wiping her tears.

"No, we can work this--"

"Work things out?" she chuckled "I'm already enganged byung. I know. Such a young age right?"

"Someone deserves you better than I am byung. By the way that girl earlier? She's pretty, I know she likes you." she said and distanced herself.

Oh, fuck Emerald! I totally forgot about her!

"And I know you like her too. I just saw you happily dating. and I didn't mean to interupt you though, It was just a coincidence that I bumped her. Sorry about that."

And with that, I immediately stood up.

"You already moved on Byung, you just remembered the pain that I left you. I'm going now. Bye, nice to see you again!"

She then walked away. Again.

"Vivi!" I called. And hugged her once again.

"Oh my God, Byung! You startled me. Why? What is it?"

"I'm so sorry Vivi. I didn't protect you. I know we had a bad and unpleasant past. And I wanted to start a new relationship with--"

"What? No byung! I already told yo-"

"As a friend okay! You always cut me. Ers and Thanks by the way. It's really nice to see you again" and then I let go of her.

"So please, excuse me cause I have a girl to confess and I think I owe her an explanation and an apology." She just smiled and I immediately ran back to where I left Emerald.

Urgh! Why am I so stupid? Please I am not late. Please. Please.

After a few minutes, I arrived at the place. I looked everywhere hoping that she's still here. I gasped for air a bit cause I am out of breath running.

But I can't find her. No sign of Emerald. Stupi Ljoe. Errrs.

*rriiiiiing*

My phone rings and I saw the name of the caller.

It's Tao.

I'm a little disappointed because it's not Emrald.

"Hello Tao"

"Ljoe where are you?" His voice is so serious. He's somewhat angry. Oh God.

"I- I am here in N. Tower. Looking for Emerald. "

"What did you do?!! Emerald came home crying! I told you Ljoe, if you hurt her I am going to get her away from you!!"
