Chapter 31

"Where is she?" Ljoe suddenly ask everyone. But silence answered him. Everyone was just staring at him as if he really did something wrong.

He suddenly went to Tao who was just sitting not minding his presence.

"Tao, where is she?" he asked but Tao didn't answer. Ljoe cannot hold longer his temper. He suddenly grabbed Tao's collar.

"Don't make me feel stupid, you jerk. Where is she!?" he angrily said. But Tao just glared at him. A smirk was formed from Tao's lips causing Ljoe to give up, and let goes of his collar.

Then they hear a sound of opening and closing of a door, and they saw Emerald going downstairs like nothing happened. She suddenly stopped and looked at everyone because everyone's looking at her, worriedly.

"Uhmmm.. What are you guys doing?" she said while looking each one of them.

"Dear, are you okay?" Isz asked her.

"Yeah! I'm okay! Is there something wrong with me? Nothing happened." She then gave them a fake smile. She noticed Ljoe's presence. She looked at him with just a split second and avoided his gaze.

"Emerald!" Ljoe called her.

"Oh! Ljoe, you're here! How's your time with that girl earlier?" she said, smiling at him but Ljoe can see the sadness through her eyes.

Ljoe was caught off guard. She could not reply to what Emerald said.

"Uhmm, Em--"

He was about to say something but Emerald cut him.

"Oh! I'm hungry already. Let's just talk later okay?!" then Emerald exited.

Ljoe was about to follow her but Tao suddenly grabbed his shoulder.

"Just let her for now, WE NEED TO TALK"

Tao's POV

I dragged him with me until we reached the veranda. I let a deep sigh before facing him. Seeing his face makes me want to punch him. But I am holding my temper. I should know what really happened.

"You know what hyung? I really wanted to punch you right now. But I am saving this punch for a better reason. So tell me what happened? What happened to your date with Emerald? What happened before she came home crying?" I said desperately.

"I- I met Veronica accidentally." he said and that stopped me.

"What?! You- you met her? H-how?" I just can't believe.

"I was about to confess to Emerald but suddenly someone bumped us, and that someone is Veronica. Veronica, picked her stuffs and then left immediately, and the biggest mistake I did was I chased Veronica and left Emerald, hanging." I don't know if I should really be angry or pity him. But yeah, I still gave him a punch.

"Ouch, what was that for?!"

"Sorry hyung, It's just for realization! WHY THE HELL DID YOU LEFT HER HANGING! YOU'RE SO STUPID!"

"You don't know how frustrated and confused I was the moment I saw her."

I was speechless then, I know how hard it is for hyung to just suddenly met your ex-girlfriend, accidentally.
