-Chapter 13-

-Addison's POV-

I got set up for recording and everyone was quiet. I took one side off of my ear so I can hear myself sing. I cleared my throat then signaled I was ready. The beat of "Material Girl" starts playing waiting until it was time to sing. I knew this song by heart, so I began to sing. 

Addison- some boys kiss me, some boys hug me, I think they're okay. If they don't give me proper credit. I just walk away. 

I looked over seeing them blown away by my voice and I continued singing 

Addison- they can beg, and they can plead. I can see the light, that's right. Cause the boy with cold hard cash is always mister right. Cause we are living in a material world and I'm a material girl. You know that we are living in a material world and I'm a material girl. 

Skipping to finish the rest of the song and Ethan eventually cuts it then begins to speak. 

Ethan- okay Addison, you can come out

He said with a smile and I smiled coming in. Everyone was still blown away by my performance. 

Paul- Miss Addison, I have to say, you have such an incredible voice. I'd love to work with you. Your friend here is right, you do have what it takes and have the upmost potential. 

I was shocked and smiled 

Addison- wow really??

Paul- yes ma'am, would you like to hear the recording over?

I nodded 

Addison- sure

Ethan plays it over then I heard my voice come on and I covered my face not believing that I sounded this good. I'm not tone deaf but I was blown away. 

Addison- oh my god, is that what I truly sounded like??

I exclaimed and they laughed nodding 

Paul- yes!

Addison- was there any autotune added to it?

Ethan- there's some tweaks to it, it makes your voice sound softer and clear. Changing your voice no changes. That's truly what you sound like.

I smiled 

Addison- wow I don't know what to say, this is amazing. 

Madonna- so what do you say to Paul's offer?

I thought about it for a second and then I nodded 

Addison- I'll do it, why not?

Tessa jumped up and hugged me so happily.

Tessa- congrats Addi! I'm so happy for you!

Paul- please come to my office for further discussion for a contract. 

He gave a friendly smile and I looked at them, they motioned go for it and I looked at him. 

Addison- okay!

Paul takes me to his office that happened to be on the same floor. Going in and I sat down making myself comfortable. 

Paul- would you like anyone present. before we start?

Addison- perhaps a lawyer

Paul- that's perfectly fine, we always have one in hand. 

He got on his phone to contract a legal lawyer who deals with contracts and to explain what it says on the contract. The lawyer got there immediately and he comes in introducing himself. 

Frank- hello, I'm Frank, I'm going to be present here today to help you go over the contracts and help to have a better understanding. You did make an excellent choice for me to be in here. Beginner artist go in not knowing what it says and it's crucial. That's why I'm here as my job.
