Piercing (L.H Fanfic)

Chapter One

I hope you enjoy!

I hear banging on my door. I knew who it was. My mom.

"Lex, com'on. You gotta wake up. Its you're first day of school. Get up now or I'll wake you up on another five minutes." She says.

I hear her footsteps start going down the wooden stairs in my house.

I think to myself for a second.
Five more minutes? Or should I wake up. Um five more minutes. Wait no! What am I thinking its the first day of school

I try and get up as fast as I can, accidentally rolling off my bed and collapsing on the ground.

I groan and get up. I throw my hair into a messy bun and take a quick shower.

I start singing one of my most favorite songs by nirvana. I get a little louder and then hear my mom scream to me upstairs.

"Lexi let's go! I have to go to work and make sure that you're brother does not ditch. The least you could do is not take eons in the shower."

I stop the water and get out the shower.

"Well damn." I say under my breath even though I know she can't hear me.

I walk out the bathroom with a towel around me, being couscous that my brother isn't around to prank me.

I walk into my room and close the door behind me noticing the wet footsteps I've made in my carpet.

I grab the clothes I've laid out on the desk in front of my bed and slide on a white romper with a mostly blue cardigan.

I take my hair down from the bun and brush it. Tugging at the tangles, I get a text. I let go of the brush and it hangs off my hair.

Madison- Oh my gosh! Hi lexi. I finally found your number.

Madison- Are you there?

Madison- Lexi?

Me- What do you want Maddie?

Madison- Well good morning to you too.

Me- Ha. Your funny. You expect me to say that after you keep ignoring me. This whole summer you didn't answer me. I would ask you to hangout. You would not answer or say no. One hour later your with someone else.

Madison- ...

Madison- Well sorry. I just umm. I'll see you at school

Me- Yeah ok...

I toss my phone onto my bed and roll my eyes noticing I still have the brush in my hair.

When I finsh get the tangles out I put my hair into a nice braid and put on black slipons.

I grab my brown bag and walk down my stairs. I slip and fall back.

I hear a gasp in the kitchen.

"Lexi hunny are you ok?"

"Yeah mom I'm fine." I say grabbing my bag and getting up again.

I walk into the kitchen and see a bunch of pancakes stacked on a plate. I grab two and put syrup on them.

I eat quickly and finish on time. I get up and dump my plate into the sink letting it soak in water.

"Princess, can I get a picture before you leave? Your dad would love for me to send him some on his baby's first day as a sophomore."

"Mom I'm sixteen. You don't need to call me princess."

She put her hand on my cheek and smiled

"Awh, ok hunny. Growing up so fast."

"Mooom. Just take the picture." I groan.

She quickly snaps like fifteen million pictures. When she tries to take one more I lean in and kiss her cheek.

"Ok bye mom." I fast walk our the door and shut it quickly before she tries to take anymore pictures.
