Chapter 19

Riley-
I faked still being sick yesterday and got out of school again, but today I had to go. I played with the j necklace on my neck all day. I do that when I'm nervous. James knows that of course, and held my hand when we were together so I wouldn't do it. He walked me to every class, and didn't leave my side at lunch. I wish he didn't have to leave my side at all, but sadly we can't have every class together. I spent the ones we do have with each other stressing the whole time. More than I usually do. Thinking about what would happen if I bump into Lucas again. If James isn't next to me to help me when I see him. The worst possible scenarios crowding my head.

Back at home I hear a knock on my window, and smile as soon as I see James out of the corner of my eye. I adjust my glasses, and run up to the window to let him in. As soon as he climbs in to my room he interrupts my giggles with kisses. We walk over to the bed not pulling away from each other. Next thing I know we're making out on it.

A knock on the door and my dads girlfriends voice interrupts our make out. I push James off of me and he runs into my bathroom, closes the door and I sit up on my bed and pretend like I've been on my phone. "Yeah come in!" I say. "Hey me and your dad are gonna go out for a little bit, we'll be back around 11." She tells me. I nod and she leaves closing the door. I run over to the bathroom and open the door giggling again. "5 hours without them in the house." I tell him. He smiles, picks me up and we continued what my dads girlfriend had interrupted.

We finished a movie and decided to go get some food from my kitchen. I picked up his hoodie from the foot of the bed and put it on over my tank top. He smiled at the sight of it. I know he likes seeing me in his clothes. We walked down the hallway holding hands until we reached Emily's door and it opened, stopping us in our tracks. I expected to see my sister. But instead, out walked a guy shirtless, telling Emily how much fun he had. He almost closed the door but stopped when he saw us. It was Lucas.
