Prologue

Age: 08

"Levi stop you're running too fast. Wait for me!" Lydia said whilst chasing him. "Give me the ring back Lev!"
"Catch up to me if you really want this back you lazy rat."
"I'm no rat, and im not lazy! Give it back lev!" Lydia said while pouting and chasing levi, when suddenly she tripped over a rock.
"Ahhh" screamed lydia and fell. She sat up and saw a wound on her knee. A bleeding wound. She started crying at the sight of blood. Levi came running back to Lydia and checked her wound. "It cut you pretty deep." hearing this, Lydia started crying even louder. "stop crying brat, its not that bad." Levi said looking at her. Lydia sniffled and said, "W-Will i d-die now, b-because of this wound?" Levi smiled and replied, "No you won't, if i clean your wound up like this." he took out a bottle of sanitizer which he had in his pocket, cleaned up her wound and tied his handkerchief around it. "there you're all good now." Levi said while wiping her tears. "Now stop crying Lyd, you're all good now." Lydia sniffled and stopped crying. "I'm sowwy i got your handkerchief dirty, I'll get you another one." Levi laughed and said, "its fine rat, you can get as many of my handkerchiefs dirty as you want. You can repay the favour by marrying me." Levi smiled whilst saying this to Lydia. "Im no rat. Im Lydia Quinn, the goodest, bravest girl ever." Lydia said pouting.
"Yes you are no rat. However, you aren't Lydia Quinn either." Levi said taking Lydia's left hand. Lydia, obviously confused asked him, "then, who am I?"

Levi looked Lydia in the eyes "From this day onwards, you are Lydia Vititello, and you're mine. Mine and mine alone." he said as he slid the ring he was running away with on her ring finger.

"Okay Levi, I'll be yours, forever. Pinky promise!" Lydia said whilst laughing and hugging Levi.
