"Sir its 7:30pm, you have to reach the Lavingtons mansion by 8:00"
"Yes Alessandra, I know." i say getting up from my chair. "postpone all of my remaining meetings to tomorrow"
"alright" says Alessandra as she walks out of my office. How nice was it, keeping the conversation discreet. She should learn something from her. It takes me 10 mins to walk to my car from my office. Already dressed in my Brioni suit, i was ready to go to the Lavingtons gala. It wasn't on my schedule, nor was I planning to go anytime soon. But, the Lavingtons were powerful, they could be a very good help for my less legal ventures, so they were good to keep close. Besides she was going too, meaning I'll have to be there.

I reach the mansion at 8.00pm exact and the first thing i see is red.

She had just arrived. Her hair, black as the night was put down. She hadn't curled her hair today, it lay straight down her back, falling just above her ass. She was wearing a dark red satin gown, which hugged her luscious curves at just the right places. Her creamy skin glowed in the luminescent light of the moon. Her lipstick was as red as her dress, perhaps even darker. From afar, she looked exactly like how you'd imagine aphrodite to look like if she were a real person. But even with such beauty, coiled with such grace, she was the most formidable person I'd ever met, who happened to be my wife.
As instructed, she was there right at 8:00pm. She looked back as if sensing my gaze and locked eyes with me. We gave each other a nod and she left swiftly.
Thank god. Atleast she was discreet today and didn't waste time trying to force small talk. I slowly walked inside the mansion and all the heads turned.

As expected.
I, Levi Vititello was one of the most influential businessmen in the world and a billionaire with a captial B. It was natural that everyone wanted to be on my good side. Scanning the room with my eyes, searching for Christian Lavington, the heir to the Lavingtons empire. It was basic etiquette to greet the host of the party before talking to anyone else in the room.
There he is, right at the bar, talking to her, the blood sucking succubus. I first contemplated whether i should go talk to him after she left. But i thought better of it, at the end of the day, she was still my wife. To the world we were a happy loving couple, only we knew what we were. I made my way over to the bar.
"Greetings Mr. Lavington" i said with my most pleasant smile. The succubus looked startled at my presence but she regained her composure within half a second.
Smart. Exactly how a trophy wife should be.
"Oh come on Levi, please address me by my name, we're way past the acquaintance stage" we both laughed at the comment. "Well, i was meeting your wife over here and it seems like you both came separately, any reason for that?" shit. This was early. He came straight to the point. "Well actually-" Lydia said stepping towards me and grabbing me by the arm, "You know Levi, he's soo busy with his work. In fact, he drove straight from the office to your mansion, which is why we came separately. Because we obviously wouldn't want to be late to your party, isn't that right babe?" i smiled at her and put a hand on her lower back,"Ofcourse love, i couldn't waste a second of your party."
The succubus was pretty smart, she wasted no time preparing an excuse. Nice.
After some more small talk with Christian, all of us went our separate ways. At 12:30 sharp, both me and the succubus left the venue, separately.

¬the next morning¬

"Levi, Levi wake up." The voice. It belonged to the succubus. How dare she wake me up. And what time was it? "What" i asked. "sit up, and read this newspaper" she said throwing the newspaper at me. She was getting real bold here, what news got her this way-
Shit.
Fuck.
Shit.
Bitch.
Motherfucker.
As soon as i read the headline, i understood why she was all queasy.
We were both fucked.
