"Will you be home tonight?"
"No. And stop calling me to ask dumb questions, you're wasting my time."
"But-"
beep. He ended the call.
Of course. Like always he cut the call without hearing me out. I don't even know why this affects me anymore.
Levi Vititello, CEO of Luxe Corporation was one of the richest, most influential and good looking billionaires in the world. And I Lydia Quinn Vititello was his wife. The wife he rarely talked to once a week. The wife he never complimented. The wife he never wanted. The wife he hated.
To the world we seemed perfect. In reality, we were barely bounded by a string. The string of convenience. What once seemed like a dream to me, has turned out to be a nightmare. But anyways, it doesn't matter anymore. It'll all be over soon.
I pick up my mobile and text Levi
We have an invite to the Lavington's gala, will you be there?
I send the text and wait. 5mins later he replies. Atleast his replies are fast.
Yes, come till 8:00.
Yet his replies remain as dry as ever. Whatever, it doesn't even matter anymore. I'll reach the venue till 8:00.
It's 3pm right now, I'll start getting ready from 6:00pm so i still have 3hrs.
Seems like the perfect time to binge watch Jujutsu kaisen.

¬3hrs later¬
Holy shit. This is probably one of the best animes I've ever watched. Welp, time to get ready. Just because things are tough between me and the demon lord doesn't mean that i cannot dressup. And i have the perfect dress for tonight. The Lavingtons are real life royalty, who have a keen interest in hosting regular galas. They say that it keeps them close to their friends. To be honest, I think the galas are only a show, which keeps them close to the powerful and perhaps even a cover up for some of their less legal activities. But well who knows?
Instead of pondering upon the issue as to why the Lavingtons have regular galas, I move on to jamming to music and getting ready.
"Alexa, play paint the town red by doja cat on spotify."
