"Rise up, sunshine." Pyre greeted me while removing my blanket from me.

I groaned, "Stop, Psyche! I still want to sleep."

"I know you are and you know I still want to sleep as well, but we have an 8 AM call time to GH, so get your pretty ass up right now." I heard her walking through the bathroom and I couldn't help but groan in frustration once again.

It's been three weeks since I ran off from Los Angeles to be in New York to pursue my dreams.

Before I made it to New York City, I decided to cut ties with my grandfather, before he even bombarded me with his threats. The good thing is, Fennel taught me how to be a Girl Scout.

I know Abuelo will cut off all of my cards and savings, so before he does that, I already made my move. So, one week before I ran away I decided to open up my own account transferring every dollar and cents that I have from my savings (that he actually has control over), to the new one that only I, have access to.

I'm currently living with my best friend, Pyre Jenkins. I need to save up because I know that starting over from scratch is hard. But I'm thankful, because ever since I stepped foot in New York, gigs and offers are just coming through my door. I can continue to study here in New York, and see what are the possibilities, but maybe after I'm all settled on my own.

Pyre came out from the bathroom with the towel wrapped around her hair. She's not that tall like me but, her facial features surely made a huge impact on her modeling career. Given that she's also a blonde woman, I can say that she really has a lot of talent.

As for me, I decided to cover up my ebony black hair to a medium brown brunette tone, so I can be able to highlight my jawline and my cheekbones. A thing that Cholo keeps insisting on when I was still in LA. Coloring my hair means that I have to be physically different from the life that I had before I ran away.

No more rules from someone else. There are only rules for myself. I always think that, I'm the one thing in life I can always have control of.

After I finished having a bath, Pyre was already dressed up and she was almost finished with her makeup. She walked towards me and showed off her phone.

Tristan Finch... calling.

It says from her phone.

"This one never stops calling ever since we had a photoshoot with one of their brands." She says irritatingly.

"Then answer.." I responded chuckling, while still choosing what to wear for today.

"And what? Tell him about your schedule. Hell no. This man won't stop until he gets into your pants." I see that she declined the call and with what Pyre said, I decided to wear skinny jeans and a knitted tank cropped top.

We arrived at GH at almost 8 AM. We prepped up quickly for a short meeting giving us our agendas. While Doreen was giving us handouts someone came in.

"Is Anika here?" Yohan asked. I looked around to turn to her. "Yeah, I'm here. Is there a problem?" I arched my right eyebrow.

"Come.. Quickly." She requested and I quickly excused myself.

After I got out of the conference room, I was surprised to see Tristan holding a bouquet and a paper bag that seemed to be food.

"Oh.." I really don't know what to say or how to react.

"Here you go, Mr. Finch. Anika is just about to start her day." Yohan nicely pushed me in front of Tristan before she left us near the reception.
