The café buzzed with the pleasant hum of conversation, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air.
The four of you sat at a corner table, surrounded by the cozy ambiance of the café. Lisa and Jisoo were engaged in a lively conversation, their laughter filling the space between them.
Meanwhile, you found yourself seated beside Rosé, who had been acting strangely towards you ever since the incident with Jisoo.
As the conversation drifted towards a scandal involving a certain philosophy professor, you decided to join in, hoping to distract yourself from the tension that hung between you and Rosé.
The rumors of the professor's misconduct were unsettling, and you couldn't help but voice your disgust.
"The philosophy teacher, right?" you interjected, your voice filled with concern. "Rumors say that he's been molesting students."
Jisoo nodded, her expression mirroring your distaste. "Yeah, it's really disturbing. I don't understand why the university isn't taking any action."
You glanced at Rosé, a pang of worry tugging at your heart. "Isn't he your professor?" you asked cautiously, hoping that she would confide in you if she had any concerns.
A small smile graced Rosé's lips, her eyes meeting yours briefly. "I'm untouchable, don't worry about me, Y/N," she assured you, her voice soft and reassuring.
Jisoo couldn't resist adding to the conversation, a playful glint in her eyes. "Yeah, don't worry, the only person that can touch her is you."
Your face flushed with embarrassment, the teasing catching you off guard. You threatened to throw a pudding at Jisoo, hoping to divert the attention away from the uncomfortable topic. "Shut up, Jisoo," you playfully retorted, though your heart pounded in your chest.
Jisoo continued to tease, refusing to back down. "Why deny it? Let's get one thing straight, you're both not..." she trailed off, leaving her words hanging in the air.
Your flustered face was visible to everyone, the heat of embarrassment seeping through your skin. You avoided locking eyes with Rosé, who had been clinging onto your arm, seeking comfort and reassurance.
Lisa joined in on the teasing, her laughter ringing out. "Look at them, they can't even look each other in the eyes," she pointed out, a mischievous twinkle in her gaze.
Rosé hummed, seemingly content with the teasing. Her actions spoke louder than words, as if she relished in the playful banter and the closeness it brought. "Anyway, I'm not really bothered by the maniac professor issue," she chimed in, her voice steady. "He seems normal to me so far."
This time, you mustered the courage to turn your head suddenly, finally locking eyes with Rosé. Your face flushed with a mixture of embarrassment and urgency as you spoke, your words tumbling out in a fast-paced rant. "You have to be careful, Rosé. You'll never know what runs in a person's mind. It's important to be cautious," you emphasized, your concern for her shining through your words.
There was a pause, a moment of stillness, as your words hung in the air. Rosé's gaze bore into yours, and her expression softened, a hint of vulnerability seeping through her guarded facade. "Hm?" she questioned, her voice filled with curiosity, her eyes searching yours for deeper meaning.
"I-I mean," you stuttered, your voice barely above a whisper, the proximity between the two of you becoming increasingly apparent. Your blush deepened, and your heart raced as you continued, "I mean, you have to be cautious... because... because I care about you. I don't want anything bad to happen to you."
