kimitsu no yaba OC story: Keiko Akari, part 1

 Mai led the way, still all shaky from the attack. I didn't quite understand it. She did appear as a demon but a demon like Nezuko, i wonder if they could get along?...

we arrived at the house, i walked in and called out "hello? anyone here?'' No reply, mai walked in front of me to a room, thare her brother was, laying on the floor, eyes wide open, blood pouring out of his stomach, dead. mai's eyes flooded with tears "brother no!" she wails, if we had made it here in time there's a chance he would still be alive, i looked around the room, a picture caught my eye, it was a male, but not her brother, maybe her father or husband? "are you alright?" i asked Mai who was still shaking a crying, she reminded me of shinobu when she passed away, suddenly i was back in that day, 6 kakashi's running around, shinobu crying with her hand in a fist, kanao with a plain expression on her face, that poor child, all the things she's dealt with at such a young age, wait, there's a girl sobbing right in front of you, snap out of it akari!. suddenly i was back, "did you see the demon who attacked your brother?" I asked softly, trying to comfort her, and she shook her head in response. I wonder if maybe oyakata-sama would be okay with me bringing her back...

"how long have you been a demon mai?" if there's a chance of her coming back with me i need a way to prove that she didn't kill him, "i don't remember" she says as she continues to sob, i sighed "can you come with me?" i said "mhmm" she said sadly. It was hard for her to walk away from her family home, but we both knew there was nothing left for her thare. I held her hand as we walked back to HQ, and guess who was there to greet us? giyuu stared at me "are you sure?" he asked "She has nowhere else to go, think of it as how you let nezuko live because u knew she didn't kill anyone" giyuu considered this, then he nodded and walked away "who was that?" mai asked "just a friend, mai by any chance are you able to shrink like nezuko can?" mai looked confused "whos nezuko?" she asked "nezuko kamado is the only other demon i've seen that doesn't eat people, she can shrink to hide from the sun when it comes up, which will be very shortly" i replied, mai shook her head no, "it's still night so it should be okay" i said, i grabbed her hand and started walking with her to Oyakata-sama, hopefully he would be up and not angry at me for bringing a demon here, i know it's against the rules but main doesn't seem like the kind of person to kill her brother, after all she was sobbing on the floor for quite a while. we reached Oyakata-sama, I bowed "hello master" he looked up at me even though he couldn't see because of the curse "hello again akari, what brings you back?" he asked sweetly "sir is there anyway we can take in a demon? i found her after her brother was murdered, i don't believe she did it, she's more human than demon" i said getting more worried on what he would say by the second  "I'm not sure we can take that risk, akari" he said sadly "how come? how is it any different from the kamado sibling?" i asked, Oyakata-sama seemed like he was playing those words in his head, "tanjiro kamado has a great sense of smell, so he was able to tell that his younger sister nezuko wasent  responsible for it, but if you could find some way to prove that this demon didn't kill her brother, then the demon slayer corp and i will welcome her with open arms" i nodded in agreement "good luck Akari" the master said. 

  With Mai by my side I asked her "was there anyone that can provide you with an alibi?" Mai looked down, unable to remember "what if we went back to your house to see if anyone around saw you?" Mai nodded, "but before we go back, i gotta grab my sword, just in case of an attack" i say as i run to the butterfly mansion, grab my sword and run back to mai "ready?" she nods, and then we head on our way.
