We arrived at mai's house, when we got there it was quiet, we walked around some more but still nothing, there was no sound, no motion, nothing, mai started to look around anxiously, when we heard a sound from the bushes mai and i both jumped, i quickly reached for my sword "mai get behind me!" i said, she quickly got behind me as i readyed my sword, i got ready for any kind of attack, anxiety took over my whole entire body, but instead of a demon popping out, it was a human "hello? are you with the demon slayers?" the man asked "yes, how can i help? Was there an attack?!" the man had the look of fear in his eyes, " no,no nothing like that! a girl from our village is missing." the man said, all shaken up, " a girl?" I asked, the man nodded "oh! Where are my manners? My name is Haru Akira. Anyways the girl had black hair, was about 5'2, had on a white kimono, oh and she had gray eyes" Haru said, "thank you, i'll try to find her"
then it hit me, "haru?" i asked as i was about to leave "yes?" he turned around and said, "is there any chance this girl was here about 4 to 5 hours ago?" mai came out from behind me so haru could identify her, haru took a good look at her, "yes, she was over by the lake, while she was at the lake i heard screams coming from what seemed like her home, it was very strange" he said, now mai had an alibi! "thank you very much for this information, we must be on our way now" i grabbed mai's hand and we started walking back. as we walked back my mind kept asking its self, what if the missing girl is mai?...
