"(Y/N)! We need to go now, Lass."

"I'm coming!"

"Did you remember your luggage?"

"Did you remember your suits?"

This has your been your day to day for the past 5 years. You had started working for Edward Newgate, a well known business tycoon in Grand Line Metro city, for his company "Moby Dick Maritime Transport Inc". His business was divided in 4 divisions, each one focused on either passenger and tourism, fishing, oil tankers or shipment of goods and perishables.

His job required traveling a lot, so this meant that you'd be able to travel anywhere he needed you to travel. It was a perk of being his assistant.

Currently you had traveled by plane for a few hours outside of the city and were going to stay at a fancy chain hotel one of this buildings partners owned.

Right now, you were curiously looking at how your boss was having a drinking game with a long time friend- Shanks.

And he seemed to be winning.

As expected of you dear old boss.

"So, tell me (Y/N)...You still single and ready to mingle?"

"I'd like to not answer that question." You mentioned with a smile. "After all, this is a business meeting. Not a vacation."

"Uh-oh! You need to relax a little,(Y\N). The old man is going to be okay with me!"

This was met with a hearty laugh and a shake of the head. You looked at Mr.  Newgate for a moment and he nodded, letting you take your leave with a knowing grin.

He knew Shanks was thoroughly making you cringe.

After being able to leave to your room, you had changed into your normal apparel. Tight jeans, distressed sweater and heavy black boots. Your hair was done up loosely and your makeup wasn't too heavy. The plugs you hide during the day with the skin colored tapers were off and now you were sporting cute dangly tunnels, your septum was for everyone's view and, after rolling up your sleeves, your tattoos decorated your arm nicely.

You were feeling like yourself after a long day of dealing with Shanks and his behavior.

You were excited to go down, your favorite band was playing this weekend nearby and you couldn't resist the idea of seeing them live.

The excitement was too much.

You knew the venue would be packed.

Once you went outside, took a taxi and filed into the line- you were finally at the venue. There was a poster inside that read 'Barto & The Cannibals' and you couldn't help but take a selfie in-front of it and post it in social media.

You've been following the band since it began and been long time friends with the singer since both of you were younger.

Sadly you moved and he moved around a lot. So it made it hard to see each-other. But  you made it work.

You've both grown into two independent adults and things like this were totally normal.

Still.

It made seeing each-other the more exciting to you.
