I wanted to give you a quick update: since the story is complete, I'm in the process of editing it. Please note that everything after Chapter 42: "A Talk" is unedited, so don't be confused by the numbering or the absence of some character names in those later chapters.
I'm working on editing the remaining sections and adding more arcs to delve deeper into the other characters. However, my editing is progressing slowly because I'm also working on another book at the moment. I'll be uploading the edited parts in arcs, for the most part.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. You can still continue reading; the edits won't affect the overall plot or ending. The new chapters will help fill in some gaps and develop the characters further. I aim to make this book really immersive, as it was originally intended to be a psychological thriller with elements of dark romance.
I also want to enhance the professionalism of the writing since I plan to publish it on Amazon.
