It's been a few days since the massacre at the Lotus Auction house.
The Inferno Tengu reached international notoriety for destroying one of the most well-known guarded auction houses in Mistral, killing many hunters, and almost killing Chikara Ogami, a high-ranking huntsman.
Due to his actions, a bounty of 10,000,000 lien has been put on his head: Dead or Alive.
The reward enticed many hunters, mercenaries, and bandits who wanted to capture Jaune.
However, those who knew the truth were anxious. They became even more nervous when they found out what was stolen from the auction house.

In a private room, Cinder was having a conference online with Arthur Watts and Hazel Rainart.
"So, that's it," Watts said.
"I still can't believe this," Cinder said.
"Believe it. Evernight Castle is gone and Salem is missing," Watts responded.
"This is unprecedented," Hazel said.
"Indeed
"Is this Wuya's doing?" Cinder asked.
"That's the most probable explanation. If it was Ozpin, Lionheart would have told us and we'd prepared beforehand."
"Aside from Ozpin and Wuya, Salem mentioned no other forces to worry about or who knew of her existence."
Hazel sighed.
"So, what do we do?" Hazel asked.
"We should continue with our objectives: The downfall of Vale and procurement of Shen Gong Wu," Cinder said.
"You're half-right. We should scrap the first objective and focus solely on the second objective," Watts said.
"And why's that?" Cinder asked irked.
"Use your head. Vale has become more strict on dust security. After the fiasco at the Vale Shipping Yard, obtaining dust is a fool's errand and a mere waste of resources," Watts said.
"Fiasco? We may have not gotten dust, but my subordinates and I obtained several Shen Gong Wu," Cinder said.
"Hmph. Speaking on the matter of Shen Gong Wu, don't you think it's more prudent to donate your Shen Gong Wu to us," Watts said.
"Out of the question. We (Mostly Mercury) risked our lives for the Shen Gong Wu, while trying to avoid, Ozpin's forces, the Inferno Tengu, and Chikara Ogami," Cinder said.
"And may I remind you that you lost the Third-Arm Sash a while ago?" Watts asked.
"I didn't lose it! It was stolen!" Cinder yelled.
"From the Inferno Tengu who found your location!" Watts yelled back.
"Enough you two," Hazel said, silencing them.
"Cinder. He's not wrong. It is a huge security risk. At the moment, you are our only supply of Shen Gong Wu."
"How can you guarantee there won't be any theft."
"Rest assured. I've taken every precaution to make sure that the Wu would not be stolen by Wuya," Cinder said.
"What precautions?" Watts asked.
"Sorry, Watts. That's a secret," Cinder said, further annoying Watts.
"Don't be mysterious. How do you know that the Inferno Tengu won't find you again?" Watts asked, making Cinder silent.
