AN// Hey guys! Just wanted to dedicate this chapter to RelenaSword, my inspiration. And now without further ado, here is chapter two! Hope you like it. :)
Ran's POV:
My heart is pounding against my chest as I climb into the ambulance with Shinichi. Tears were pouring down my face and they just kept on coming.
Why Shinichi? Why do you always have to do this to me? Well, all I can do is wait...... Again. All I ever do for Shinichi is wait. Ugh! Why?!
--
Shinichi's POV:
Huh? Where the heck am I? What am I doing here? How did I get here? When did I arrive here, and why am I in this place? Did I-- wait a second.
I take a deep whiff of the place and my eyes widen to the size of golf balls. The fragrance of fresh linen and flowers fill up the air. I hear a faint beeping noise. I'm in a semi-comfortable bed. This can only mean one thing: I'm in the hospital!
Ouch!! Why did figuring something out as easy as that create such a painful migraine? ...... Hmm? Who's this strange girl crying on my bed? She sniffles and jolts her head up. Then she gasps.
"Shinichi!" She squeals.
"What? Who's that?" I have no idea what she's talking about.I can see her face drop. She darts out of the room in panic and all I can do is cock my head in confusion. What in the world was that?
About a minute later, she bursts in with four adults, a doctor, four children, two girls and a guy my age, and an old professor. What's happen-- argh!! My hands fly to my head and try to withhold from pulling out all of my hair. My goodness! What is up with these migraines?
The doctor rushes to my side and starts to examine me. Then he asks, "do you know who I am and where you are right now?" I nod and say, "you are a doctor and I am in the hospi--oww!" I groan and try to massage another headache out of me.
The doctor's face begins to darken. "Oh no," he then asks, "Do you know my name?" I shake my head. Then I start to notice the crowd behind the doctor. The majority of it begins to sulk while the other remaining people have their heads hung low or are comforting others. Do they know me or something?
Hmm. I think they look a little familiar, as if they were strangers I remember randomly. Whoa, and that little red headed girl looks so sick to her stomach and-- "ugh another headache?!"
Then, the whole room seemed to stand still. All eyes were on me. Worried eyes. Very worried eyes.
Ran's POV:
Oh my goodness. Now I know. Shinichi has lost all of his memories. Araide-Sensei takes all of us outside of the room to talk. I have so many things to say, but my mouth dries up faster than I am able to make out one word. He then says something I don't want to hear. "Shinichi has lost every memory he has of anything. He knows how to function properly in everyday life, but it may be difficult for him to adjust to things. We need to send him in for an MRI and monitor him closely for the next couple of days. We are pretty sure he won't get his memory back anytime soon."
My legs turn into mush and buckle underneath me. Again, this guy has made me wait and cry for him. Yet I still love him more than anyone in the world. Tears run down my face and I fall to the floor. And then, I feel a hand on my shoulder.
AN// Sorry for the short(ish) chapter!! Also, I was super busy this weekend and meant to upload this Saturday.... super sorry!! I promise the next chapter will be long and the fan fic will be too. Thanks for reading!
