After getting you some comfy clothes and setting you up in his bed, Kevin went downstairs to grab the bike locks and bow and arrows. He put them in his closet under a stack of old backpacks and climbed into bed next to you. “Come here, let me hold you,” Kevin said, holding his arms out. You scooted towards him and laid your head on his chest. “I missed listening to your heartbeat,” you said with a happy sigh. Kevin reached up and began gently stroking your hair. “Y/N, I truly don’t understand how you could still love me,” he said. “Kevin, I love you because despite everything I know there’s good in you. I see it every time you look me in the eyes. You could have told me to get out when I told you I was pregnant, but you didn’t. You’re taking care of me. You’re proving that you love me, and that’s what matters,” you said. “I love you so much. It scares me,” Kevin said as he gently pulled your lips to his. You relaxed into the kiss as Kevin’s tongue darted between your lips.

He climbed on top of you, kissing down your neck. Leaving gentle love bites across your collarbones. “Kevin,” you whispered, causing him to detach his lips from your chest. “Yes, baby,” he said, looking down at you. “Please, promise me you aren’t going to do it. Ever,” you said, staring up at him. When Kevin didn’t respond, you continued. “Please Kevin… I can’t live without you. I don’t want to live without you,” you said as tears began to stream down your face.

Kevin rolled over and sat down beside you. “I don’t know if I can make that promise,” he said, looking at the floor. “Then I can’t let you be around me or the baby, but if you can promise me right now that you’ll at least try. Then I can promise that I’ll be there with you every step of the way,” you said, looking at him. Kevin looked up at you and smiled as he grabbed your hand. “Y/N, I promise to do whatever it takes to keep you and our baby in my life. Even if that means going to therapy and getting on medication,” Kevin said. “I love you, Kevin,” you said, smiling at him. “I’ll start selling the bike locks, and I’ll give up archery,” Kevin said. “You’d do that for me,” you asked, tears filling your eyes? Kevin looked at you with an astonished expression on his face. “Of course, I would,” he said as he pressed his lips to yours in a quick peck. “What do you say we call and set up that first appointment,” Kevin said when he pulled away. You nodded and pulled your phone out.

After a little research, you found the gynecologist with the best ratings and called them.

“Dr. Polansky Gynecology, how may I help you?" Said a chipper voice.

“Hi, I need to make an appointment for my first ultrasound,” you said.

“Alright, and what’s your name,” the voice responded.

“Y/N Y/L/N,” you responded.

“Alright, and would you prefer morning or afternoon,” said the chipper voice.

You looked at Kevin, and he shrugged. “Morning,” you said.

“Alright, we’ve got a 10 am for this coming Tuesday,” the voice responded.

“That’s perfect,” you said.

“Alright, we’ll see you at 10 am on Tuesday. Have a nice day,” the chipper voice said.

After hanging up, you looked over at Kevin, who smiled at you. “Let’s order the pizza, and we can watch whatever you want,” Kevin said’ you raised your eyebrows. “Even a chick flick,” you asked with a smirk on your face. Kevin grimaced, “Even a chick flick,” he said.
