He wasn't expecting his phone to start going off as he's getting into bed for the night. Choosing to crash in one of Richard's spare bedrooms for the night rather than driving all the way back to Somerset where he's been living with his boyfriend for the past few months now.

Not that it'd be very wise to drive in his current condition, anyway, seeing as he did have quite a bit to drink with Jeremy and Richard after the three of them had gotten together at Richard's place to watch their latest Grand Tour episode together. And there's no way Richard would allow him (or even Jeremy) to drive home drunk, anyway, so whether he wanted to drive back home or not, he couldn't.

Besides, he's not too keen on returning home to an empty house, since his boyfriend is currently off out of the country on tour with his band.

Quite honestly, he finds himself a little annoyed at his phone going off, as all he wants to do right now is go to bed. Because it's very late, and he just wants to sleep.

However, as he sees the caller I.D., his annoyance completely disappears as he answers the call.

It's his boyfriend calling....

His boyfriend that he's had for about a year now and has still not told Jeremy and Richard about yet....

For no reason other than he's just not found the right time to tell them, and he's not quite ready to come out yet.

"Hey." Johnny says on the other end of the call. "I didn't wake you, did I?"

"No." James yawns. "No, you didn't. I was only just getting to bed now." He says. "I'm at Richard's right now, after he, Jezza, and I got together to watch Eurocrash. Had a little too much to drink to drive home, so I'm staying at Richard's."

It's been a couple days now since their latest Grand Tour episode, Eurocrash, had dropped on Amazon Prime, and he, Jeremy, and Richard have only just found the time to get together and watch it together while having admittedly a little too much to drink. They would've gotten together on the release day, but they were just too busy at the time. Or, at least Jeremy and Richard were busy. James on the other hand isn't too incredibly busy, seeing as he doesn't have a farm or a workshop to run.

"If you need to get some sleep, I can call back later?" Johnny asks. "I don't want you staying up too late if you need to get your sleep."

James shakes his head, no. While he should probably get some sleep, he can stay up a bit longer to talk. He's got nowhere to be in the morning.

"No, I can stay up a bit longer." He says. "How's the tour going so far?"

"It's going good." Johnny says. "I'd love it if you could come along one day."

James would very much love to accompany Johnny on a Hollywood Vampires tour one day, but at present, it's just not possible. Not when they've not come out about their relationship yet. And honestly, while James doesn't care what anyone has to say about his relationship, he's just not sure he's ready to come out yet. He's not sure he's even ready to come out to Jeremy and Richard just yet, and there's no way that he's going to come out publicly before telling Jeremy and Richard.
