This isn't necessarily a sequel to the previous one-shot, Late Night Calls, but you may read it as such if you wish.

He's just invited Richard and Jeremy over for drinks, and to officially come out to them....

To come out and say that he's currently seeing someone who just so happens to be a guy, and who also happens to be none other than Johnny Depp.

And fuck, is he nervous. Not necessarily about the fact that he's dating a guy, as he knows both Richard and Jeremy will be absolutely okay with that. He's kind of been throwing out hints to the two of them in regards to the fact that the person that he's been going out with this past year or so is a guy. So he doesn't have to worry about any homophobia from two of his closest mates. Both of whom he knows aren't homophobic at all, despite some weird claims that have sprung up about them over the years due to dumb things they've said.

He's more or less nervous of how they'll react to the news that the guy that he's dating is famous actor and musician, Johnny fucking Depp. Like... fuck, they won't be expecting that at all....

Honestly, James himself is still to this day surprised that he's somehow ended up with Johnny Depp of all people. But boy, is he glad that he is. That evening that Johnny came into his pub just over a year ago now has been one of the best things to have ever happened to him. Right next to joining Top Gear way back in 2003 alongside Richard and Jeremy.

He's got plenty of time to kill before Jeremy gets here from Oxfordshire, and Richard gets here from Herefordshire. Richard being the closest to where he's now living in Somerset with Johnny, should be here soonish, depending on when he's left, while Jeremy will take a bit longer.

And all he can do until then, is wait. Wait, and fret about what Richard and Jeremy are going to say once all this is out in the open. Because in his invitation to them to come over for some drinks, he made no mention of the fact he was going to be coming out to them.

Although, considering the fact that this is the first time in quite some time now that he's offered up his place for drinks, rather than the three of them always just going over to Richard or Jeremy's places for drinks (or his pub), he thinks that the two of them might have some idea that they're finally going to meet his new mystery partner. James is pretty sure the two of them are smart enough to make that assumption, anyway....

But what he's going to do once Richard gets here, and Jeremy isn't here yet, he doesn't know. Because he wants to be able to tell them at the same time, not tell Richard first, then wait about another hour or so for Jeremy to get here and then tell him also. Which potentially means that Johnny is going to have to hide away somewhere in the house until then.

But then there's also the issue of things around the house that may indicate to Richard of who this mystery man is. Things like photographs of Johnny and his two kids, for example.

So James rather finds himself hoping that maybe Richard will put off departing Herefordshire for a bit, giving Jeremy ample time to get a good head start to get here from Oxfordshire. Unless the two of them have decided to ride here together, with Jeremy stopping by Richard's place on the way. But that would likely add some more time onto the already nearly three hour drive he has to make. And James doesn't entirely think that Jeremy would want to do a bit of a detour towards Herefordshire. Which very likely means that Jeremy and Richard will arrive separately.

James just hopes that Richard doesn't turn up too much sooner than Jeremy.... He doesn't quite fancy moving things around things just to avoid telling Richard before Jeremy gets here.
