Last month was a emotional roller coaster, Nasir and I have been working together on our relationship. We're communicating more and honestly it's going great. He's slowly gaining my trust back.
"Baby what do you think of this dress?" I asked him
"Beautiful. You know you look good in anything." He replied
"Aren't you the charmer." I said playfully rolling my eyes.
Tonight was the night that he would be receiving a Jimmy Lovine award for the work he's put in for the industry and also in his community in Queens. I'm so proud of him, he deserves all the recognition he gets.
Nas got his stylists to send over some dresses and other accessories ideas for me to pick from. I waited literally until the last minute to do so.

As the ceremony went on there was a video that showed his rise to success. I saw pictures and videos of him I never seen. One by one his peers came up on stage to honor him. I noticed how Nasir eyes glistened from all the praise he was getting. He deserves it. Nasir doesn't have many awards or nearly get the recognition he deserves from the industry. It's about damn time they start, long overdue.
Andre Harell calls him to the stage to receive his award, he leans over to kiss me on the cheek and proceeds to the stage.
"I just wanna thank everyone for being here tonight, thank Allah for allowing this to happen. When I was younger I knew I had no choice but to become somebody, I dropped out of school in the eighth grade. My mom was so hurt that I did that. I love you ma." He said looking up above.
"I had a bright future though. I'm not saying do what I did by dropping out. Just know like I did that you are destined for greatness. I'm honored to receive this award up here with my peers if I can call y'all that. I'm still a student to game and I appreciate this. Thank you to Allah, my brother jungle, my mother, father, my friends. I love y'all. Thank you to my baby Magic, your amazing I love you. " he said catching me by surprise. I didn't know he would publicly thank me. I just smiled and winked at him.
The applause starting as he walks off of stage straight to me. He wraps his arms around my waist and he kisses me. I stroke his cheek as we were kissing.
"I love you." I said
"I love you too." He said smirking
