ELIJAH IRVIN - ONE YEAR LATER

" nigga whattttt" elijah laughed at jay as he shook his curls. " she tried to play me" the 7 going on 8 year old said. elijah shook his head looking at the boy as he had a growth spurt and got tall and skinny. elijah had signed him up for basketball which he was at every game faithfully just like everyone else

" nigga said tried- cause you tryna talk to the guys and me NO SIRSKI" he said doing the little reese and ddot held his stomach laughing real hard. it was gens year anniversary and they all sat infront of ethan and norris building where they first met technically celebrating her

a mail man walked up as jay pushed his curl back giving him a blank look, " excuse me is anyone here jayden davis, ethan & david reyes, darrian jimenez and elijah irving" he said technically calling them all out
" oh and a heem dawg" he said confused making eli chuckle

" yea wassup boss man- here you all go" he said handing elijah the packages as he nodded and walked away. " weird ass nigga" jay mumbled crossing his arms. " why ain't you tell us you got suspended nigga" heemy mushed jays head making him chuckle

" well i did- when" he said confused, " just now- BURN" dd laughed as eli handed everyone their package as they looked confused and looked between eachother

" y'all see what i see- nigga why you think we all got the same face" ddot asked ethan. " im a little scared not gonna lie" dd said as they all started opening the package revealing a white thick box with her signature on it.

" naw bro this a sick as fucking prank" jay said getting mad as his hands started to shake, " igh count down 3-2-1" heemy said as they all opened their box picking up a little car off paper.

eli smiled as ddot ripped the paper back turning away from them, " what is it-" ethan asked as heemy smiled, dd jumped around and danced as notti laughed. it was now left to jay and eli to open their paper. jay sat next to him peeling back the paper as his eyes got watery

he quickly wiped them pulling out the pendant chain with a picture of them on it, " look look" dd smiled showing everyone his picture as ddot disappeared, " niggaaaa " ethan laugh remembering the picture

heemy turned his picture around see it was a screenshot of their first blog together as edot smile. notti passed his around as his picture was them at the fair. jay showed his of him and gen sleep in her bed as he was layed on her back and they was facing the same way drooling

edot pulled his paper back smiling and rubbed his eyes stopping himself from crying, as it was a picture of them sleeping at her moms house, he turned it around seeing VBABY carved on the back as he clipped it on fast.

" i'll be back" he said as everyone nodded and started talking about their piece, eli jogged around the corner seeing ddot sitting against the wall crying. " yo D" he looked up brushing his silk press back looking up
" wassup" he sat down next to him putting his arm around him

" it's okay to not be okay" he said rubbing his shoulder, " i know man it's just seeing her like that knowing i was with her the before really just fucks with me man" he said wiping his face putting his knees down open his box back up.

" this was yesterday a year ago, i went to her about my moms man i seen her arm, jay called me about that shit man and she played okay bro, she sat and listened to me talk about my mom issues and she had real life shit going on" he said turning the pendant towards eli to see

" man after she asked if i wanted to bake a fucking cake" he chuckled looking at it, " and i wanted to do that pretty patty shit off spongebob and ended up fucking em up" jay came around the corner taking a seat next to darrian patting his back

" i mixed the batter and shit and we vlogged it" jay looked at his pendant and smiled. " nigga she came her and this nigga and showed to how make a fucking cupcake sandwich, and jay fucked them up frosting all over his mouth- they were ugly tho" he laughed

" we got jiggly after man" he kissed his teeth starting at the pendant. " she's at peace man- i woke her up at 2 sum in the morning" he laughing clipping it on as they all stood up dusting themselves off

eli parked his car at the cemetery as jay looked at him, " you good man it's a safe place" he said encouraging him to go to her tombstone, he hasn't been once since the day she passed

" i'm scared- why" he asked as jay looked at the graveyard then eli. " she gon be mad i ain't come to see her- she'll understand" he said resting his hand on his shoulder

" but- she'll understand" he repeated as jay took a breath getting out the car going to her stone, he hasn't been in so long but knew exactly where it was, it was almost like he was reliving watching her being lowered into the ground.

he stopped and sat on the green thick grass that covered her and read her stone. he sniffles feeling his eyes water not knowing what to say. " hi gen" he smiled with a cracked voice

" i know you probably mad i haven't came to see you it's been hard man" he cried covering his face. " ion know what to do anymore, it's like i blanked out" he said leaning on her stone wrapping his arms around it

" i can't even function correctly gen, i miss you so much man can you just show me sum please let me know your listening" he said looking at her picture and checked his phone

" i kinda figured you was gonna ignore me first trip, i was gonna come i just didn't have the balls to" he laughed, " we got ur gift today" he said rubbing his thumb over the pendant. " i went with eli the other day, he got your page tatted shits fya in ya hand writing" he laughed wiping his face

" i been saying to myself it's okay to not be okay because that's what i always told you and i'm not okay that's okay tho right" he smiled rubbing his eye. " i been playing ball it's fun that call my J3 now" he laughed pushing his curls back

" all my teammates know about you, whenever one of us make 16 points we throw up a V for you" he smiled. " i know you would be mad prouda me, i'm not the little shorty you remember and i know you looking at me like my jayjay" he mocked in her tone laughing

he wiped his face looking around, " man just show me sum gen just so i know you hear me" he whispered as her pink windmill started to move as he looked around seeing the trees still and no leafs were moving
it stopped as he raised his eyebrow, " gen" he asked as it moved again and he smiled jumping up

he stood up dusting himself off looking at her stone, " igh gen it's getting late i got practice early if i could stay here i would you know that" he smiled
" i'm glad i can here to talk to you i feel okay for once i love you" he said kissing the tip of his fingers placing it on her stone

the windmill blew at a fast pace as he smiled walking away back towards the car opening the door
" feel better" eli asked as he got in the car with a smile, " yea you i finally for once feel okay" he smiled closing the car door
