Liam was standing outside of the locker rooms; he couldn't believe what he was seeing. There it was on a piece of paper pinned to the wall, his name and the word Captain. He did it, he was able to become captain, something he trained all summer for, and he did it. Oh, how Gabe was going to hate that. Liam felt smiling at his name on the sheet, he couldn't wait to tell David.
"Surprised to see that you are still here Dunbar." Liam turned to see Theo leaning against the wall. His arms were crossed, his biceps stretching the black shirt he was wearing. Liam couldn't help but stare, how was this guy so jacked?
"I was just checking if I was on the list." Liam pointed towards the paper on the wall. Theo kicked himself off the wall and walked towards Liam, glancing at the sheet.
"You are on the lacrosse team?" There was a harsh tone in Theo's voice, taking Liam by surprise.
"Yeah, I'm apparently captain now." Liam laughed slightly trying to release the tension that suddenly filled the air between Theo and him.
"And I was starting to think you were a decent person." Liam felt something snap in him. What did Theo mean by that? What did being on the lacrosse team have to do with him being a decent person?
"What is that supposed to mean?" Liam's body tensed as he felt his anger rise. He clutched his fists until he felt the nip of his fingernails into his skin. Theo was starting to really piss him off, being in a band with him will be a lot harder than Liam thought.
"People who play lacrosse are full of shit. I have never met a lacrosse player who wasn't a conniving asshole." Liam watched as Theo stalked closer to him. His eyes holding anger and malicious gaze, causing Liam to shudder under the stare. "And it looks like you are just another one of those good for nothin-"
Liam knew he needed to keep is anger in check, but he couldn't help it. He was easy to push over the edge, he just needed a slight nudge, and he was gone. He knew the triggers for his IED, he did everything he could to avoid them. However, when you have assholes like Theo Raeken waltz in your life. It's not like they have a huge red flag tattooed on their forehead, to give you a warning on what was coming. Theo's tone of voice when he spoke to Liam really pissed him off, making him feel stupid or like Theo knew more about the world then Liam did. Or how Theo acted like he knew all about Liam. Now that really did it for Liam, because Theo knew nothing about him.
"You have no fucking right to talk to me like that." Liam grabbed onto the collar of the others boy shirt, slamming against the wall. Theo's head hitting against it, causing him to let a groan as he felt the sharp pain begin to cause a headache.
"Why is that?" Liam watched the pain in Theo's face, turn into a dark and sinister smirk that made his way onto his face. Liam felt as if Theo had taken one look at him and figured out everything about him right there in that moment. He had never felt so vulnerable before, not like this.
"You don't even know me." Liam pushed Theo further into the wall. He wanted to wash away the smirk on his face, he wanted to regain control of the situation. Instead, he knew he fucked up, Theo's smirk turned into a twisted smile, and any confidence Liam had left was long gone. Theo was twisting his way into his head, causing the anger to become hot and heavy. Theo knew what he was doing, he wanted to see how far he could push the boy before he snapped.
"I think I know you very well, little wolf." Liam could see a teasing glint in Theo's eyes. The nickname caught Liam off guard. What kind of nickname was that. He had heard a lot of nicknames in his life. Ticking time bomb, walking disaster and even damage control. Never little wolf, what did that even mean?
"What are you talking about?" Liam let go off Theo as he took a step back to get a better look at him. His eyes still holding a sharp glare towards the other boy as he watched Theo step away from the wall and fix his shirt.
