The Fever Returns

Happy's pov

Gray kissed Juvia. Natsu kissed Erza. I can understand that Natsu was shocked because the one he loved kissed another girl but, kissing Erza?

The next morning

"Natsu! Wake up. I made breakfast!", I yelled while serving breakfast. When breakfast was served and Natsu still wasn't waiting impatiently on his food, I got a little worried. I went to check on him and saw he wasn't even awake yet. He was... shivering? I covered him in the blanket and went to eat. Around noon he stumbled to the kitchen, the blanket still wrapped around his shivering body. "Natsu... Go back to bed. You should rest. You won't get better like this." I said "I'll be going to the guild soon to inform Mira. Is that okay?". "Sure.", his voice sounded sore as he went back to bed. I got him a wet towel for his head and a glass of water for if he would be thirsty and went to the guild.

At the guild
Mirajane's pov

Happy entered the guild and I greeted him "Where's Natsu", I asked. "That's what I wanted to tell. He's sick again. And this time it's worse. Is Gray here?" I nodded in understanding and pointed to where Gray sat

Gray's pov

Happy came flying towards me "What's wrong? Where's flame brain?", I asked. "Natsu is sick again. And I mean really sick. Can you please come over to help him?" "Why would I. He kicked me out. He said he never wanted to see me again." "He says that all the time Gray. Please.". "Happy, listen. I would really like to help you out but... Natsu can take care of himself. It doesn't matter how sick he is. He'll get better in no time.", I said. However I really, really wanted to help him 'cause I really couldn't stand seeing Natsu suffering like he was before. Natsu still kicked me out before. I don't want it to be that when I go back Natsu get seriously angry and that it ruins any kind of relationship we had until now. After some thinking I still decided to go with the blue exceed. If Natsu really was as sick as Happy said he was, he needs help. Of course, I was sure Happy could give him that help too. But it would be easier if I helped him a little bit, right?

We arrived at their home and Happy opened the door. I heard snoring vibrate through the whole house and it actually made me feel a little bit more comfortable. Knowing that flame brain was sleeping soundly made me relax. Happy showed me where Natsu was and I was surprised to see the dragon slayer shivering under a blanket, on his head a wet towel. He looked even. Ore miserable than before. Damn. It was good that I came here to help Happy 'cause he didn't seem all too well.

First I decided to clean the house a bit while Happy was asleep. He deserved it. He was up from so early to take care of Natsu. Seeing him sleeping there on Natsu's chest makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

I started doing the dishes and when I was ready with those I started cleaning the house itself. I came across the place with all those mementos of him 'The first job I did with Lucy.', 'som rubble from the council.','A souvenir from Galina Island', 'Lucy' 's maid costume.' and my eye fell on a little paper, carefully folded on a closet. I picked it up and unfolded it. 'me and my best friend Gray.'. Inside of the paper there was a picture of me and Natsu pulling on each others hair and sending glares to each other while they were trying to take a picture of us. One when we were still young. And the same picture, taken in the same place with the same people and us doing exactly the same thing a few months ago. "Natsu..."

I went to check on Natsu and Happy once more and they were both snoring soundly. Gosh. They really are the dynamic duo. I was growing a bit tired too so I lay down on the cough and quickly fell asleep, surrounded by the delicious scent of Natsu's laundry, which smelled just like him. Oh how did I love that smell.

I woke up, looking into two big cat-like eyes. I immediately recognised those eyes. "Ack! Natsu! Don't scare me like that!" I yelled while half falling out of the cough but Natsu was sitting on top of me, so I couldn't go anywhere. "Can you explain two things for me Gray?" Hé asked and I looked at him questioning. "One: Why are you here? And two: Why are you wearing MY scarf?" he asked and I looked down to see I indeed was wearing Natsu's beloved scarf. I quickly handed it over to him and explained everything "And now explain me one thing flame brain. How come you're dying one dY and the next it's just like nothing happened.". He shrugged. "Dunno.", he simply said before jumping off of me and walking away "And I would appreciate it if you would respect my privacy and didn't look inside of everything when I'm too sick to even talk.", he said and he sounded passed. He had every reason to be though. I was wearing his scarf and I went through his private stuff. 'Ugh Gray. Stop making bad impressions on him. He will never love you like that.'. Wait! Did I just thought that

I suddenly heard water running and I figured Natsu was taking a shower. When I wanted to ask Happy if perhaps I could help with making lunch. Natsu would be hungry if he hadn't eaten properly in three days I couldn't find him. That was until I heard him talking to Natsu. 'They take showers together? Wow! They must be really close.',I thought as I started making lunch for the three of us so we could eat if they finished their shower.

Natsu's pov

I was taking a shower with Happy when Happy suddenly asked "So... How are things going between you and Gray?" "What do you mean Happy? ", I asked." Well you lllll-", I cut him off by placing my hand in front of his mouth "Shh! GRAY can't know. He'll think I'm disgusting. Just like everyone else if they were to know I love another boy.", I looked down. "I don't think you're disgusting." Happy said and I pet his head. When we were done I set myself on fire to dry myself and tied a towel around my hips before starting to dry off Happy with a towel. ''Damn. I forgot my clean boxers outside." I said as I sneaked outside the bathroom to my room to get a clean pair of boxers. When I finally got them I accidentally ran into Gray. Well that was the last thing I wanted to happen. Well the very last thing I wanted to happen happened just after running into Gray. The towel that covered me up fell down to the ground. I looked down just like Gray and quickly covered myself up. Gray kept staring at my crotch area and I started to feel really uncomfortable. I quickly picked up the towel and covered myself up again before running back into the bathroom to get dressed.

Gray's pov

Damn. Natsu has a nice one. I would like to touch that. Okay it is over now. Where do all these thought keep coming from. It's disgusting. Just disgusting. I don't love him. I hate Natsu.
I knew that even though I kept repeating that again and again in my head. In the end I couldn't deny the truth. I loved that pink haired Bastard. And not a little bit...
