Job Rewards

Gray's pov

After me and Natsu had been congratulated by everyone I asked Natsu "Hey Natsu, you still have some money. 'Cause I'm about broke?". Natsu didn't answer and just started laughing. "We' re completely broke too.", Happy answered in his place. "How 'bout I look for a job?" I asked them and walked to the request board. Happy followed me and scanned the board too. He took a delivery job and said "I wanna help you guys too. I'll be taking this job.", he flew off to Mira and then off to the job. I walked back to Natsu and let him see the request. He looked at it and smiled at me before walking off to take the job.

Several days later

Natsu's pov

"We're back!", I yelled as I kicked open the doors of the guild. "Natsu!", Happy yelled as he flew into my arms. When he got back on the floor he said "I'm sorry Natsu. I wasn't quick enough with the delivery and didn't get the reward. Even though I know how much we needed it.", Happy said with tears in his eyes. I crouched down to him and started petting his head. "You did the best you could, right buddy? No one is faster than your max speed. So if you weren't fast enough, no one is.", I said and looked at Gray

Gray's pov

Natsu looked at me as if I should say something too. "Don't worry Happy. Me and Natsu got the money so we should be fine for a while. I'm sure you'll make it next time."

Happy was hugging Natsu, well trying to, and I was looking at them, a smile plastered on my face.

"You really like them, don't you?", Mira suddenly asked
"You could say that.",I answered.
I noticed Natsu looking at me and he shot up. He walked, read ran, over to me and kissed me.
"N-Natsu! Not in the guild!", I said embarrassed
"Why not? You're mine and I want everyone to know that.", he said smiling. Happy joined us by sitting on Natsu's head and raising a paw "He lllllllllikesss him...". Natsu reacted with "Enough with the tongue rolling Happy! I didn't raise you like that!". I patted Natsu's head since he was smaller than me and he hugged my waist tightly. He yawned and I said "Let's go home.". He nodded and we walked to Natsu's house.

Once we arrived home we ate and we decided to take a shower together.

"How's the water?", I asked Natsu who was already in the shower with Happy. "Nice and warm.", he answered and I entered the shower too. "Ack! This water is too hot!", I said and turned on the Cold water. "Ahh. T-too c-cold...", Natsu shivered and turned on the hot water again. We got in a fight and Happy tried to calm us down "G-guys... You're a couple now. At least try not to fight that much.".
"Happy's right. I'm sorry Gray. It wasn't a good idea to shower together it seems.", Natsu said looking down. Wow, this was the first time Natsu really apologized that quickly. And it seemed like he really means what he is saying. "I'm sorry too Natsu.", I said. Natsu reached up and tried to kiss me, which wasn't easy for him since I was almost a head taller than him, but slipped and we fell out of the shower. He on top of me. He was blushing and I quickly pressed a kiss on his lips. "Love you, silly flamebrain."

We got ready and out of the shower. "I'm sorry Gray. We should've gone to your house. Now we can't sleep together. I'm so stupid.", he said. "Don't blame yourself Natsu. We have some money now so we can buy some stuff so I can move in here soon. You don't need to pay rent so that's easier.", I said and went to the living room to sleep on the couch. Natsu was quicker than me and jumped on the couch before I could reach it. "You can sleep in my hammock if you like. I made you sleep long enough on the couch.", he said and I shrugged. I went for his bedroom and saw he had forgotten his scarf there. When I went to bring it to him he was already sleeping soundly so I just put it down on the table next to him. I kissed his forehead and petted Happy before going to sleep in Natsu's room.
