FLASH FORWARD: THREE MONTHS

We did something horrible. Unforgivable. Law school does not teach you how to away with this. I know Professor Keating jokes about this, but no one actually tells you how to get away with murder.

Somehow all of us, minus Asher, are in this mess. No one can agree on what to do next.

Michaela is sitting on the ground, rocking back and forth like a child. The rest of us are arguing on how to take care of this.

"Stop acting like a little bitch baby."  Connor scolds Michaela.

"Do not tell me how to feel right now!" Michaela yells back from the ground. To be fair, she is not helping Connor, Laurel or I at all right now.

Finally, Wes came back. I was worried he was turning us in, even though he was equally as responsible, if not more responsible for what happened. "Sorry I took so long. I went back for this." Wes said and pulled out the bloody trophy from his bag.

"No, no, you take that back right now!" Michaela yells from the ground.

Laurel shook her head. "No, it's smart. Commonwealth v. Deloatche. A case the prosecution should've won but lost because there was no murder weapon."

"So, what are you saying?" Connor asked.

"I say we clean it and put it back. Hide it in plain sight. No one will suspect anything." I paused. "But we have to bury the body first."

"No, absolutely not."  Laurel disagreed. Her and I have been pretty much on the same wavelength the entire night. I am utterly surprised she's disagreeing now.

"Yeah, I'm with Laurel-" Connor started.

"No, Connor, think."

"The trophy we need, yes. But the body stays where it is." Connor argued.

"No, the body is what gets us caught!" I exclaimed.

"You are not thinking straight!" Laurel muttered.

I huffed. "What do you suggest?!"

"Um, something that doesn't involve carrying a body across campus on the busiest night of the year!" Laurel gritted. She has a point, I know. The big football game is tomorrow and everyone pregames the night before.

"She's right, Piper. Even if we get it out of the house, unseen, the ground is frozen." Connor added.

"We have all night to dig." I shrugged and turned to Michaela. "This does involve you."

"I don't want any part of this." She replied.

"Um, not an option, Pratt." Connor yelled.
