━ AS THE days passed by, Zariah began to notice that Miles was getting obsessive over her.
Zariah wasn't oblivious; she liked it a lot. The more protective, the more possessive he became, the more she was attracted to him. He wouldn't let her leave his side and she didn't want to.
Desiree began to notice her best friend's relationship change as Miles would get aggressive when she talked to a guy. Miles had her to himself and he wasn't willing to share.
Zariah didn't mind this, thinking that his possessive nature was cute. However, Desiree didn't seem to think so.

"Zariah, your boyfriend's starting to weird me out," Desiree said with worry in her voice.
"He's just protective, Ree," Zariah replied softly.
"He's overly possessive towards you. It's getting kinda strange, not gonna lie." Desiree replied.
Zariah could tell Desiree was worried for her safety but her feelings for Miles were so strong that she wasn't willing to listen to any criticism or worry about her relationship with him.

"And the last partners for the Science project are Keshawm Armstrong and Zariah Alverez," The teacher says.
Zariah winced, hoping Miles didn't make an issue out of her working with another boy. She didn't see it as a big deal and neither did Keshawn, but as she looked over at Miles, she saw him glaring at the boy harshly.
She looked down and focused on her work, knowing her boyfriend was jealous.

Zariah and Keshawn talked outside the school about their project.
"Should we do it at your house?" Keshawn asks the girl.
"Yeah, it's cool with me," Zariah replies. Then Miles suddenly appeared, grabbing her hand.
"You two can work together at my house." He says, glaring at Keshawn, who seemed confused.
"Uh, sure, Miles," Keshawn replied. "I'll buy the stuff for our project, you can text me Miles's address if you've got it," He told Zariah.
Zariah got nervous when Miles gave the boy a death stare as he left.
Miles then took Zariah's hand and started to lead her away.

The walk to the Morales household house was quiet and awkward as Zariah knew Miles wasn't okay with her working with Keshawn. She hoped nothing would happen because of it because Miles could definitely be a little crazy for her.
They both made it to the Morales house and went inside, Zariah's nerves beginning to rise a little.
Once inside, Miles greeted his mom before he took Zariah upstairs to his bedroom. The intimate memories came flooding back, causing a blush to spread across Zariah's face. As she walked, Miles still had his hand on hers, his eyes roaming around her body.
When they got to his room, Miles shut the door, his grip tightening on Zariah.
"I don't want him around you," Miles said firmly.
"Well, how else will he and I work on the project? It's fifty percent of our grade," Zariah protested.
"I don't care, Zariah! You're with me, not him," Miles replied in anger, squeezing her hand tightly. The tightness of his grip made her shiver.
"Miles, it's just a project," Zariah replied in a nervous tone. "Can't I just do it at his house?"
"Hell no!" Miles retorts.
Zariah frowns. "Okay, fine. I'll text him your address so he and I can do the project over here."
"Imma watch y'all in the living room,"
Zariah felt weirded out when Miles said he'd be watching her. She wasn't sure if he was being too protective or unnecessarily jealous.
Nevertheless, she texted Keshawn the Morales address, and he responded he'd be there in a few minutes. She was about to text him an 'Ok, get here safe', when Miles quickly snatched the phone away from her.
"Miles!!" She glares at him.
"You don't need to reply to him, mami, and least of all tell him to get here safe like he's yo man," Miles had a stank face.
"Stop that shit right there," Zariah snaps. "You can watch Keshawn and I do the project in the living room, and that's it,"
The doorbell ring just then, and downstairs, Rio Morales opened the door.
"MILES! Your classmate Keshawn is here!!" Rio yells.
Miles followed Zariah closely downstairs, still holding her hand.
Keshawn entered the living room, his eyes taking in the scene before him. Miles didn't look happy to see him, but Zariah smiled.
"Hey, Keshawn, you got the stuff for our project?" She asks.
"Yeah, it's in my bag," Keshawn replies, glancing at Miles and regretting it when he saw the boy scowling at him.
"Alright, let's get started," Zariah says.
The two sat down in the living room and began to do their project together. Miles sits on the couch, watching them like a hawk.
Zariah could feel an awkward and tense atmosphere as she and Keshawn designed their project. Miles was watching her with those eyes that made her feel small and vulnerable. He really was protective of her, yet the feeling of his protectiveness made Zariah feel like prey.
"Is he always like this?" Keshawn asked Zariah quietly, his eyes shifting between Miles, who was still watching the two of them.
"He started acting weird when we got together," She whispers back to Keshawn.
"Zariah, that ain't healthy," He warns her.
Zariah shushed him and continued working on the project. Miles watches over her and Keshawn as if they were kids instead of teenagers.
Zariah knew it wasn't normal for Miles to act like this, but she wasn't sure what to do. He was possessive and obsessed. He wouldn't let her go anywhere without him and would constantly be with her 24/7.
She just hoped his behaviour wouldn't get worse.

Ya'll I promise Miles will not be physically or mentally abusive towards Zariah, but he will be kinda manipulative.
