As everyone was trying to recover from the surprise attack, a few defeated the hardest, especially Lucy.
"I promised I would protect her, and all I could do was watch." Lucy cried
"Those bastards destroyed our home and took one of our friends, they messed with the wrong guild." Natsu slammed his fist onto a rock.
"How unfortunate...Looks like they gave us a beating we'll never forget." Master Makarov voice was heard
Everyone turned to where they came from and it was indeed Master being carried by Rafe and alongside with Gajeel and Lily.
Team Natsu minus Arashi for the moment, Mirajane, Macao and Juvia followed Master and Gajeel down to the library to discuss some matters. Gajeel and Lily were able to gather that Carbuncle is a mercenary team for the duke of Veronica and that tomorrow they're throwing a 400 year celebration that requires both halves of the phoenix stone.
"What will happen if they're reunited?" Erza asked
"The legend around is that once those halves are united, then the phoenix will be released from its slumber and grant you eternal life as a thank you." Lily explained
"When the phoenix was sealed away many years ago, many lives were lost in the process. I can't imagine the lives that will be taken once it's been released once more." Makorov informed them
"Veronica is a small country so we'll need a small team as well. From what I've been told Lucy, you're the only one Eclair is closest to. Erza you choose who goes with her, remember small and efficient."
"Of course Master."
"Hey Wendy, this time I'll need your Troya spell." Nastu reminded Wendy
"Oh yeah, so that means I'm going too then."
"I'll go too." Gray volunteered
"Where Ever my darling Gray goes I shall go there as well." Juvia chimed in
Gajeel and Lily both volunteered as well.
"Of course Ari is coming with us." Natsu grinned
"Speaking of which where is the boy, I didn;t see him on the way here." Makarov was curious for his otherworldly child
"He said he needed to get something from the house, so he'll be back soon." Lucy answered his question
With Arashi
"Come on, I know it's around here somewhere."
Arashi had flipped his house upside down trying to locate something.
"Here it is."
Arashi laid down a heavily wrapped object down in a clear space. He began unwrapping the clothes and underneath all that wrapping was a katana but something was different about this katana, it had a lacrima in the middle of the hilt and the blade was split in two with a gap in the middle.
