Handsome for a Maiden

A maiden's thought appears to mind -

How eyes could seem to be so blind,

How they prefer a face so fine;

Forgetting how it is refined.

It is refined by way divine.

It's for a heart to feel, to find.

A handsome man could be defined

Just through the ways he shows his kind.

It is how firm he is to stand,

Gentle he is to understand.

He has a strong but helping hand.

Well, these define a handsome man.

A handsome man, he'd feel the beat.

He'd always care as he is sweet.

He'd always try, he'd never quit

Until his heart, her heart would meet.

And when he'd need, he would detach.

Would be his mark, his dearest touch.

When maiden falls, he's there to catch;

Because he loves, he loves so much.

His maiden dear would think he is

A handsome man not by his kiss;

But by his smile evincing bliss,

And by his hand - a touch of peace.
