Chapter 5 : Lam

I watched quietly as Park came back, slinging his jacket and bag carelessly on the floor, grabbing a beer and sitting on the couch, in front of the TV.

"What happened? I thought you guys made amends? I definitely didn't expect you to come back."

Park looked at me sullenly. He kept quiet despite my prodding. "If you don't answer me soon, get out."

Park looked at me stunned. He sighed and then the next second, his tears came down. What the fuck? I instantly went over to him.

"What happened Park?"

Park whispered to me over how he had ended things for good with Forth. He was frustrated that Forth couldn't draw a line between the friendship and relationship and was being so petty and jealous. He then went on about how Pha was consoling him and that riled him even more. I sighed. I looked at Park. I guess it fell on me to do the hard job.

"You do realise Forth is able to draw a line between friendships and relationships. Which is why all he's asking is, treat me like the friend and himself as the boyfriend."

Park just glared at me sullenly.

"Right now, you are so angry, nothing that I say will get into your head. Rest for the night. We will speak tomorrow."

I stood up, grabbing my wallet when Park held onto my hand.

"Where are you going? Stay with me."

"I can't. It wouldn't look good if I stayed here with you now. I am going to go bunk with Max and Tul. Anything, call me."

"Don't leave me alone Lam. As it is, I am not in the best of moods. Please stay here at least for tonight."

I sighed. Park hardly ever begged me for anything. It wasn't our style. I flopped down on the couch next to him. Park came closer and burrowed his head on me. I sighed softly as I held onto him. His soft hair bristled against my chin. I could feel his soft tears dropping on my shirt. I just held onto him even more tightly. He was really a baby, him and Forth but they just acted all tough, all the time.

Park laid his head on my chest and held on. We stayed like that till he actually fell asleep. I slowly inched him out from my hold and went to call Forth to check on him. Forth and I didnt have a bad relationship but with things this bad between Park and him I didn't know where I stood with Forth.

"Hey, you ok?"

"Hmm. I will be. Is he OK?"

"Why are you guys even fighting when you care about each other so much?"

"I don't know Lam. You ask him. I am not the one who wanted to end things. And he even gave Pha a hard time."

"Is Pha ok?"

"Yea he is. He's on the phone with a friend now."

"Can you ask him to call me once he is done?"

Forth agreed and hung up. I stared at the phone. In the middle of all this, the ones caught were Pha and me.

About half hour later, Pha called me back.

"Are you ok? Baby?"

I whispered to Pha who just filled me in. I sighed softly, feeling absolutely bad for my boyfriend who was just caught in the middle of all this. I promised him we will sort this out for them soon before they drove us mad.

As I hung up, I looked at the wallpaper of me and Pha, whose hands were interwined in my phone display. We had been dating quietly for the last 6 months but did not reveal it yet as we were taking it slow. But now, looks like not revealing it will tear us apart.

I glanced over at Park who was sleeping, unaware of the chaos he and his Forth had been creating.
