~aarla's POV~
A bright light blinded my eyes... fresh air stung my wounds... the cold floor chilled my knees... I was free. I opened my eyes to a sunny window. The sun was very bright. I looked behind my shoulder, staring at the prison I've been trapped in for years. I never knew there was a way out, I never knew the world was this big. I never knew there even was a world other than the closet.
I breathed in, hugging the air around me, feeling so free. I dragged my feet along the cold floor, tipping over nothing. I never learned to walk... I never needed to learn the walk. In the closet I could only crawl, there wasn't much space.
I could hear Asha outside, she was talking with a man who I think is Aaron... but Aaron was inside so Asha was talking to someone else. I crawled around this strange room, running my fingers along a wooden table.
I rubbed my eyes several times, I wasn't used to this much light, I would just eat, sleep and play in the dark all day. I crawled into a small table, knocking something over. It made a loud noise that hurt my ears. I didn't think much of it until...
