The Japanese girl shifted her gaze on the male near her, observing him with the corner of her eyes, trying to not be caught: his defined eyebrows were furrowed in concentration, making few small wrinkles appear on the flawless caramel skin he had; some strands of his onyx hair fell in soft and messy curls on his forehead, making him even more striking;
But what truly stole all her attention were his eyes: under the dark long lashes, his usually bright azure eyes, focused on the paper sheet, were a more deep colour at that moment, an intense and magnetic blue;
and Chiyuki could swear that she even saw some shimmerings flecks of gold in them, like islands surrounded by the ocean, making them even more captivating ;
One thing was sure: the more her gaze rested upon the male, the more details she captured and the more breathtaking he became.
The emerald eyed girl didn't want to stare at Xie Zhen like a creep;
(Author: Chiyuki please, don't behave like a creep, we already have our hands full with Perv-Bai.)
She hated when people did it to her, so the moment she realized what she was doing, she shifted her gaze elsewhere immediately, hoping she hadn't been noticed and hadn't made him uncomfortable.
He was the most attractive guy Chiyuki had ever seen in her two lifetimes;
No wonder Bai Tao in the novel could not "hold back" herself with him many times; (Well, but Bai Tao was a PERV, so it's not the best reference)
and no wonder many people tried to woo him, or rather say, they would have if he didn't scare any person who even dared thinking about approaching him, ignoring them completely, behaving like they were air, too worthless to even glance at them.
(Author: Damn, that's truly mean)
Anyway, his superiority complex and bad personality instead of giving his popularity a low blow, it only increased it;
(Author: Wtf?!)
In fact, apparently people were particularly attracted to this characteristic of him.
(Author: WTF!?)
The thought made a slight frown appear on the girl's usually indifferent face:
Why would someone have feelings for a person who treats them like air because they are "too inferior" to them?
Wasn't it stupid?
Wasn't it just a waste of time and mental health?
Why would someone (in a right state of mind) choose, PURPOSELY, to chase after a person like this?
Are they all crazy?
Is this what they call " masochistic behaviour "?
(Author: I feel you bro)
But, apparently, most people didn't share the same opinion, instead they were convinced to be able to change Xie Zheng for the better;
that they could be his only light that shows him the right way on the path of gentless;
that they could make the male "alpha" fall in love and discover that under his arrogant facade there's a caring guy, sweeter than honey; a side shown only to them, obviously.
(Author:I don't have any words left to comment all this disillusionment. I'm speechless.)
People watched too many films nowadays.
(Author: I agree.)
Thanks to all of this, Chiyuki had come to the conclusion that most people are masochists and delusional.
Or they simply were on drugs; or they liked to complicate their lives for dumb reasons; or they thought that life was like in the fables or fantasy worlds where it was all so simple and cliché...
Wait.
WAIT.
W A I T.
Thinking about it, they WERE in a fantasy world; they all belonged to the world of a novel,...so they might even be right.
At that point neither the girl knew what to think, only time would give the answer.
