Asking for Permission

(Wilmer's POV)

"I'll be right back," I kissed Demi on the cheek. I took a deep breath as I approached her parents, "Mr and Mrs De La Garza, may I have a word with you both in private?"

"Um... sure," Eddie replied hesitantly, taking a quick glance at his daughter who was talking to her two sisters before diverting his attention back to me, "Kitchen?" he suggested

"Yeah sure!" I gave him a smile before following himself and Dianna into the kitchen.

"What's up Wilmer? Is Demi okay? Did something hap--..." Dianna panicked

"Demi's fine Mrs De La Garza!" I assured her, "I was just wondering... I love your daughter with all my heart, I would do anything for her; absolutely anything. I would love your permission so I could ask her to marry me!"

They sat there and looked at me, oh god, they're going to say no... they then turned to face each other before a wide smile took over both of their faces and Dianna lunged at me and engulfed me into a hug with tears streaming down her face.

"YES! YES! YES!" she exclaimed as she continued to give me a bone crushing hug.

As the hug broke apart I turned my gaze to Eddie who was looking at his three daughters. "Eddie?" Dianna nudged his shoulder.

"I hoped one day someone would respect her enough to ask, thank you Wilmer. You see that smile?" he questioned as he looked towards Demi as she laughed at whatever Madison had just said, "That smile only appeared when you came along, her brightest smile; you bring it out. You make my daughter happier than she's ever been, so yes Wilmer you have my permission!" he smiled before giving me a hug.

"Thank you both so so much Mr and Mrs De La Garza!" I grinned before starting to walk back into the lounge.

"Oh and Wilmer?" I turned around, surely they haven't regretted their decision? Have they? I started to panick. "Call us Eddie and Dianna, you're a member of the family now!"

I sighed with relief, I thought they had changed their minds! I thanked them both and walked back over to Demi.

"You okay?" she chirped as I sat back down on the couch beside her.

"Yeah, I'm great nena!" I grinned as I put my arm around her and joined in on the conversation with her and her two sisters.
