Chapter 1 | The Hogwarts Express

I pushed my trolley directly at the solid barrier between platform 9 and 10 and found myself, a second later, standing on platform nine and three-quarters, where the scarlet Hogwarts Express stood belching steam over the crowd. My mom and dad joined me seconds later. Mom was going on about my robes and how they aren't in place.

A teenage boy with a pointed face and dark, raven hair appeared from the mass of students and parents, wearing a handsome set of dark green robes. He gave his signature rectangular smile and waved.

"I know how to adjust my robes Omma. Please stop. Now." I snapped and shrugged her hand off my shoulder as I caught sight of a few year twos giggling. I waved back to Taehyung and quickly strolled off to the train, trying to put as much distance as possible from my embarrassing Mom.

"How's your holidays. Wow, can't believe we are forth years already." Tae asked.

"Bad." I scowled as a few year ones bumped onto me. "Hey watch it idiots!" I yelled at the giggling children and shot some green sparks from my wand. Finally, we are able to use magic, as magic isn't allowed outside school for students under 17.

"Hey Daeyoung! Nice holiday?" A voice rang out. Chanyeol came over with his arm draped around Baekhyun's. The four of us hang out a lot, even though we aren't from the same house. Chanyeol and Baekhyun are Hufflepuffs.

"My hell of a Mom started training me for O.W.Ls even though it's 1 year later. Glad to be back in school." I rolled my eyes as they laughed.

"Omma got me new a broomstick! A Comet 290." Taehyung said and wiggled his bag.

"Ptff I got a Firebolt 3.0." I replied and smirked. As we walked towards the train, I saw my friends, Sana, Jinhee and Yumi with their families and waved.

At that moment, the whistle blew and my Mom hurried over and chivvied us towards the train door. We climbed on board and closed the door but my mom hasn't moved.

"Honey bunny stay safe in school! We'll miss you. If you need new robes or anything call me, I'll deliver them to you. Take care of your new Fireblot broom sweetie..."

I shut the window in disgust as the pistons hissed loudly, and the train began to move. Me, Chanyeol, Baekhyun and Taehyung went back to our compartment just in time as the witch pushing the snack trolley came by.

"Cauldron cakes!" I ordered.

"Chocolate Frogs!" Baekhyun said.

"You know the Ravenclaw chasers, Kim Sehyun and Park Jae Young, yeah she and her friends are going on about winning the Quidditch Cup this year." Chanyeol said, sitting down next to Taehyung, "doubt they will. We are on a winning streak since I-don't-know-when. With us in the team, doubt anyone could beat us."

"Gryffindor will."

Ella had appeared in the doorway. Behind her stood Park Sungyong and Jeon Jungkook. The Gryffindor prefects and Jungkook, the famous Quidditch player.

"Screw off perfect prefects. I don't remember asking you to join us." Taehyung said coolly.

The last thing I need is seeing a bunch of Gryffindors. Gryffindors and Slytherins never get along well with each other. Well us Slytherins never actually got along well with other houses due to our views about blood status. Even after such a long time, us Slytherins still don't favour Muggles.

"Mudblood," Baekhyun muttered.

"Hey, I heard that!" Jungkook said and whipped out his wand in an instant. I whipped out mine out at the same time.

"Impedi-"

When he cut me off and said, "You know how loudly your mommy said 'Honey bunny', 'Sweetie'?! Your mom is..." Then the trio broke out into laughters.

"Silencio!"

A burst of light erupted from Taehyung's wand as he cast a silencing jinx, causing Jungkook to shut up.

"Get out," I said.

The three of them hurried out of the compartment so quickly till one of them fell over their robes. I stood up and slammed the door so hard the glass shattered.

"Recarpio."

With a flick of the wand, Chanyeol repaired the broken door and the shattered glass fitted back in place.

"Kook stinks," Baekhyun said as he devoured the cake.

"A lot of girls like him though," said Taehyung and he shoot me a look.

"He's a mudblood," Chanyeol said as he threw his robes over the cage of his owl to shut her up.

"I never said I liked him. I just said in Year 1 that he is good looking-" I retorted, and looking at Taehyung's still annoyed face, I added, "but I will never like jerks like him. Don't be jealous Tae."

Tae broke into a grin and lay down on my lap as I unconsciously stroked his silky black hair and threw chocolate frogs into his mouth.

The sky darkened and rain threatened to fall as the train neared Hogsmeade station.

"Anyway, Chanyeol will be our new Quidditch captain this year!" Baekhyun announced. Last year, Chanyeol was a beater, while me and Taehyung were chasers, with Baekhyun being the seeker. Surprisingly, we began good friends through Quidditch. We had to audition again this year. No exceptions for students in the team in the previous year.

"Thats great! Congrats!" I said and adverted my gaze when I felt someone looking at me. In the cabin beside ours, sat a blonde haired wizard in his sapphire blue robes holding a book with his fellow Ravenclaws, pretending to read. When I turned to look at him, he quickly looked back down. Obviously flustered, he held his book upside down.

I laughed and shrugged it off. Many people liked to look at me, since I was the grand daughter of a Veela. Veelas have been known to marry wizards, although it is unknown whether any have married Muggles. Children of these unions are half-veela, and they will inherit magical ability from their fathers and beauty and charm from their mothers.

In the past three years I've spent in Hogwards, I never paid much attention to any Ravenclaw boy. But that one seems oddly familiar.

I turned to look at him and our eyes locked.

A/n Hey guys! Thanks for reading up till here. If you read Harry Potter, Jk Rowling doesn't introduce all the characters in the first chapter so I couldn't, even though I tried.

It might be different from other A.Fs and I apologize because there's just so many characters + this is also a Taehyung and Yoongi fanfic as well.
