Last Time on "Her Soul, His Blood"

My eyes widen "Evangeline, watch out!!" I whirl around hearing daddy's voice warning me, but it is a futile warning as his hands wrap around my throat from the air making.

I wrap my hands around his wrist as I'm choking, gasping for air while he tightens his hand. His nails dug into my neck.

"No!!"

I closed one eye as I saw him charging at Hendrickson with his blade, but he moved away with me still in his grasp.

"You've been a nuisance from the day we met, girl. You caused Helbram to go against me...and for that, you'll pay with your five hearts."

He pulled his other hand back with his fingertips pointing at my chest, I quickly moved my hands and my Sacred Treasures came to my rescue cutting his arm off to the wrist this time. I don't know how he can regenerate so fast it's unheard of!

Now

I panted as I heard Helbram's voice, making me turn my head away from Hendrickson which was a huge mistake. I screamed when I was hit and sent across the battlefield, but he wasn't done it seems because he appeared behind me punching my back and sending me smacking into the ground until I skidded on my back close to Melidoas and Elizabeth.

Gasping for air, the wind was knocked out of me. I feel hands dragging me back.

"Stay down, Evangeline...I'll handle the rest."

"U-understood..." I murmured before I blacked out.

'Great...back in this never-ending darkness, still can't see anything...'

'Or is it you're too blind my little one?'

'Huh...? That...voice. Who are you!?'

'...It is not yet time, my sweet one. When the time comes, we'll be together again...until then I left the man who you call 'daddy' to keep you safe while I'm in a deep slumber.'

'So...Meliodas isn't my real dad?'

There was a gentle chuckle filling my ears.

'Goodness no. If your real father heard you call him such, he'd kill him for taking his place as that title.'

'I take it my real dad doesn't like Meliodas, huh?'

'...You could say that but for now...you should wake up my sweet one. One day we'll all be together again, and I promise we will never be apart again.'

I felt my tears sliding down my face 'Until that day...mom.'

Opening my eyes I looked around to see I was back in my room, sighing softly I pushed the silly blankets off me and moved my legs to the side touching my bare feet to the cold floor. I shivered from the cold, I walked over to my closet and pulled out that casual outfit Helbram made me. (He made me multiple versions of each outfit just in case the one I'm wearing gets destroyed or has no way to be repaired.) {The outfit below.}
