The following day, Jaime was awakened by a cold nose pressed against his face and a hot breath on his neck. Jaime opened his green eyes and gasped when he saw two intense blue eyes staring at him, “SEVEN HELLS!” Jaime exclaimed when he saw Lyarra's Direwolf staring at him.
Kouga whined, then licked Jaime's face. Jaime grimaced, then he heard Lyarra giggling next to him. He turned to look at his wife, and Lyarra laughed harder, seeing the confused look on Jaime's face.
“Kouga, don't sneak up on Jaime like that. You startled him,” Lyarra told her Direwolf. Kouga huffed and jumped on the bed. He wiggled his way between Jaime, and Lyarra pinned Jaime down with his massive paws and began licking his face.
Jaime squirmed, trying to escape the enormous wolf, but Kouga was too heavy, “Lyarra! Call this beast off of me!” Jaime yelled, then spit a mouthful of fur out.
Meanwhile, Lyarra sat next to her husband, laughing her ass off. She laughed so hard tears were running down her face. Suddenly, the crazy Direwolf shifted his position, pinned Lyarra down, and began licking her face. Lyarra squealed and tried to get away, but Kouga did the same thing to Lyarra as he did to Jaime.
Jaime started to chuckle, watching Lyarra flail about, trying to escape. She frowned and glanced at her new husband, “Help me!” She squealed.
Jaime laughed, “No, I wouldn't dare try to remove that beast. He might bite my hand off.”
Lyarra continued to laugh at Kouga's antics. Jaime thought it was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. He smiled at his wife when she finally got the gigantic wolf off her, “How are you feeling?” Jaime asked.
Lyarra flushed prettily; she knew what he was referring to, “A little sore, My Lord Husband.”
Jaime frowned at being addressed so formally. He didn't know why, but it bothered him for Lyarra to refer him that way, “Please, my lady, call me Jaime. There is no need for formalities between us.”
Lyarra beamed at her husband. She didn't like calling Jaime by his title, but she had to ensure he wouldn't mind her using his name. Though she did it earlier, Jaime may not have liked it. “If that is the case, please call my Lyarra. You are correct; there should not be any formalities between us if we want this marriage to work.”
Jaime agreed. He may not have been allowed to choose his wife, but he was content with marrying Lyarra. A knock at the door, and Jaime stood and grabbed his robe. Lyarra blushed when she saw Jaime's naked body. After tying his robe, he handed Lyarra hers. Once his little wife was covered, Jaime opened the door. It was a servant with their breakfast. Jaime instructed the servant to leave the food on the table, and the maid quickly exited the room.
Jaime pulled two chairs toward the table and waited for Lyarra to leave the bed. She turned her back on her husband and put on her robe. Even though Jaime had already seen her naked, her modesty kicked in. Once her robe was firmly tied, Lyarra walked toward the table and sat beside Jaime. The servant brought eggs, fresh bread with honey, blackened bacon, and porridge.
The newlyweds sat in silence and had their breakfast. As they ate, Lyarra thought of what she and Jaime could do that day. She thought they could ride, and Lyarra could show her husband around Wintertown and the Wolfswood. She mentioned as much to Jaime, but Jaime had other plans.
He smirked at Lyarra, “I have a better idea. Why do we not stay here and get to know each other better?” Jaime asked as his eyes roamed down Lyarra's body.
Lyarra flushed at the look in Jaime's eyes and agreed. Jaime leaned toward his wife and kissed her. Soon, the kiss became more heated, and he picked Lyarra up and threw her onto the bed. Lyarra giggled. When Jaime was about to remove his robe, Kouga began pulling at it. Lyarra chuckled and ordered the wold out of the room. Kouga whined but did as his mistress ordered. Jaime opened the door, and the wolf left. He then locked the door and joined his bride on the bed. For the rest of the morning, Lyarra and Jaime got to know each other well.
