I ran down the street, with little hope in my eyes.
But the little hope that was there kept pushing me to run faster, no matter how sore my thighs are.
Sweat beating off my face as I run 5 blocks down my neighbor hood, until I finally got to the bus station.
Three buses waiting for more people, and I hop on the first one I see.
"The train station please." I said breathing heavily.
"Ticket?"
I placed my ticket into his dirty palm before turning and walking towards the back of the bus.
Only four people are on the bus, but the driver pulls out of the station and drives away.
I looked out my window and saw regular houses with pointy roofs. And bushes with flowers laced all of them.
Then I remember my apartment and quickly get jealous of those who get to live in big city houses.
I looked around the bus, to stop tears from spilling, and notice a boy who looks around my age staring at me.
"What?" I ask him, but it may have sounded meaner than I hoped. "Sorry."
"You don't have to apologize, I just love your eyes and your very beautiful by the way-"
"The train station!" I hear the bus driver yell.
I sighed, before thanking the boy and grabbing my bag.
I got up and hugged my board tightly to my side before walking of the bus and into the nightmare of Surfers.
