Maybe it was the aftermath of his heart break? Maybe that was why he was being a little reckless here and there but she still knew it was her fault mostly or maybe entirely and every time she thought about him it still hurt. What was worse he wasn't even looking at her anymore even when they crossed parts. They'd entirely became strangers in a very short time and she had a reputation that she'd well earned.

Xi had been more than a comfort through the breakup process, always bringing her flowers and being extra sweet and all but she didn't feel the same warmth in her stomach and she didn't feel the butterflies exploding at the sight of him or when he laughed, it wasn't the art she was used to and it didn't tug at her heart strings.

How she'd manage to screw up things with someone who had done nothing but love her she couldn't explain. She had let herself get caught up in the socializing thing and being popular and being seen, he was right when he said she had changed but despite the realization it was too late now.

She was sprawled on her bed in a bra top and shorts, she didn't use a comb in days, dark circles formed underneath her eyes. Her friends had called earlier to say they were coming over. She didn't want to deal with anyone for now but boy she needed a little company or she would proceed to cry all day as usual.

Thirty minutes later they came in loudly. They all looked as white as she did, no sun for while. "I'm extra satisfied to see you are going through the same shit we are going through girl" Zoe highlighted. "You think?" She scowled. "Maybe not entirely but honey that's not the end of the world" she threw her hands up.

"My world or yours?" She snapped. " Hey calm down baby" Bianca sat beside her. "Breathe.." she rubbed her back and the tears just came out of nowhere, she tried to text him but he had her number blocked who does that? She pushed her face deeper into her pillow and cried harder. For the next few minutes her friends comforted her until the tears had dies down.

"We should all head down to Miami, it's quite sunny there i think we can all use the tan and the breathe of fresh air" Zoe suggested with a twirl "What do you think?" Bianca brushed her cheek in sorting way. She was the mother amongst them. " I don't know if i need that right now." She sniffed. " You do baby and we all do."

"Zoe's family jet landed smoothly at Opa Locka Executive Airport, the breeze hit different and she just sighed right away.

The group sat in a comfortable silence, every now and then someone would bring up a topic and they'd talk about it. Cha Cha was sitting between him and Thomas, she smelled nice and occasionally she'd laugh at something a random guy in the room said and it sounded nice not to talk of the rising and falling of her chest when she inhaled or exhaled. It was a feminine thing that he found attractive.

A guy named Folk was staring at her tanned legs from the opposite side of the room, but she seemed not to notice or she just wasn't concerned. He shifted his hand and placed it on her thigh, he felt the goosebumps rise on her skin and he looked away. This however interrupted Folk and his eyes went to meet his, calmly he stared back and Cha Cha only needed just one look at Folk to understand what was going on

His stare was hard and cold and lasted until Folk surrendered, he understood the point already. Beside him he could tell she was trying hard to hide her blush, she wasn't one to show warm emotions if she could help it. Maybe it was for the best but it would be fun to push her a little further, that's if she didn't smack him in the head. He moved his hand an inch upwards and rested it there more firmly.

Her chest was rising and falling more quickly but her face showed no emotion of any sort. He leaned in. "A little higher princess?" He thought he was teasing her. "Take it all the way up and it's a dare". She fired back.

"Right now i'll be decent for the boys but we'll see about that later" His smirk promised her he would keep his word. Still with her ungiving eyes and emotionless face her body gave her out when it shook and the goosebumps intensified under his palm. His smirk broadened half and inch and only visible to her.

"Party is outside tonight, Ashton wants to spice things up at his lake house" Gad popped. "Bro has mad parties all the time" a guy Adrian still couldn't remember his name suggested and everyone else agreed. "My fave part is the fresh blankets he always has at his parties and the nights are cold these days so i know where i'll be when i'm drunk as funk later " Cha Cha added "Always the life of the party" Folk winked at her. "And you are always the drunkest at any party."

"We all agree" Thomas nodded. Folk grinned wide and Adrian snorted the moron was feeling fly for being a drunkard. His disapproval was written boldly on his face and that was the only contribution he was willing to make.
He was ready to retire, he needed to save some energy for later. He slapped the boys hands and headed for his room.

His phone had five missed calls from an unknown caller and also a voice message. He got comfortable on his bed and played it.

"Heyy.. I know you don't want to talk to me right now but we need to talk, i miss us and i feel terribly guilty and it keeps me up at night. Can we just talk?"

His heart clenched. She sounded so sweet, so delicate, like the girl he knew in high school, so innocent yet alluring and very brilliant. He wanted to call her back and tell her that he missed them too, that it was hard to move on and that he didn't want to even after months, that occasionally he would catch her scent in the air but it never lasted long it would always drift away as soon as it came.

He missed them but did she really feel the same way or was she playing with his emotions again? For all that he knew she was dating Xi now, very shortly after their break up and everyone knew he showed up with flowers here and there for her people were beginning to see them as some power couple. It pained him to know she moved on so quickly meanwhile he didn't speak to anyone for two months after their breakup but she was busy receiving grand gestures at her end.

Guilty? That's why she wanted them to talk? So she could feel somewhat at ease for what she did to them. She was more selfish than he thought yet his heart and body still ached for her every night and just when he was trying his best to forget he would see her random texts and today she let him hear her voice. She wanted to torture the life out of him.

He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "I won't fall for your lies again." He turned off his phone and lay in bed but thoughts of her filled his mind until he drifted off.
