Turning 16 (Zane Ro'Meave)

Blood Bond

It's christmas morning and Gene lays away in his bed, staring at the ceiling.
He doesn't want to sleep.

He keeps having

Dreams

About Zane
Dreams he doesn't want to have.

He hasn't really done anything with Zane yet and he's not sure if he wants to.

Last time Gene tried to sleep he had a dream that he forced Zane to hang out with him, Sasha, and Zenix.
Zane and Gene ended up alone at some point and  they ended up doing stuff.

Gene would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it, but he also didn't know why he kept having dreams like that.

It all started when he pricked his finger on Zane's fang.

Gene remembers reading something about a blood bond a few months ago, he didn't know why he was but he was looking up some stuff about vampires and how they used to be.

He has been having his doubts about Zane actually being a vampire, due to it being common knowledge that Irene, along with the other Devine warriors, wiped out vampires centuries ago.

But this just solidified it in his mind, Zane was 100% a vampire.

Gene grabbed his phone and went to Zane's contact, texting it for the first time.

Gene 5:32 am:
How the hell did blood bonds work

Gene was a bit surprised that he didn't even have enough time to set his phone down before it went off

Zane 5:32 am:
Why do you want to know

Gene 5:33 am:
Because I want to know

Zane 5:33 am:
Just look it up

Gene 5:33 am:
Just fucking tell me yourself.

Zane 5:33 am:
Fine

It took a few minutes but Gene's phone went off again

Zane 5:37 am:
A blood bond is an unnatural ability a vampire has to bond with a human through sharing blood.
With a blood bond the vampire can tell how their human is feeling at all times and often the human has sexual dreams about the vampire.
There's not any way to really stop it that I know of

Gene looked at his phone for a few minutes, was he blood bonded to Zane?

Zane 5:40 am:
Why do you want to know

Gene 5:41 am:
Am I blood bonded to you?

Gene set his phone down next to his bed and rolled over

Irene dammit

Why did this have to happen to him

Gene lays in his bed until he hears a knock on his door.

He rolls over to his door and sees Dante opening it

"Gene! Get up its christmas"

"I know Dante, I'm already up."

"We'll get dressed then. I wanna open stuff before mama leaves for work"

"Okay, go out"

Dante shut Gene's door and Gene sat up, grabbing his phone to check the time.

He was a text from Vylad that he missed

Vylad 5:47 am:
Do you mind if I come over later? Like after your mom has left for work
My parents aren't here and Garroth is annoying on holidays.

Gene 6:03 am:
Sure I guess.

Gene got up and put a pair of baggy ripped jeans on and a black sweatshirt with a skull on it on.

He walked downstairs and saw Dante on he couch eating a cookie.

Their mother always made cookies for them on Christmas morning.

Gene walked into the kitchen and saw his mother standing by the oven, looking at her phone.

Her blue hair was messy and it looks like she hasn't slept in weeks.

"Good morning Mom. Merry Christmas, I guess"

Gene's mom looked up at him and gave him a tired smile

"Good morning sweetpea, grab a cookie and go into the living room. We have to open stuff quickly, my boss wants me in early"

Gene frowned, his mother could never get a day off work

He walked over to the plate of cookies and grabbed one, putting it in his mouth and following out of the kitchen after his mom.

"I'm sorry there's not much boys, I had bills to pay. I got you as much as I could"

"It's fine Mama! You didn't have to get us anything. We're just happy we get to spend a few minutes with you!"

Gene looked over at his little brother, he was always so cheerful.

"Dante's right mom, we're just happy to spend a bit of time with you"

Their mom smiled and walked over to the small christmas tree they had, grabbing a gift for each of them and handing it to them.

Dante didn't waste a second opening his.

It was a new Nintendo, like Dante had been wanting.

"Oh Mama, you didn't have to get this for me. Thank you!"

Maria smiled at her youngest son and kissed him on the forehead

Gene opened his gift next, it was a gaming laptop.

"Mom you shouldn't have gotten me this, I could have gotten it for myself"

"You're my son Gene, I wanted to get it for you"

Gene and Dante quickly opened all their other gifts, which wasn't much.
They both mostly got clothes
Dante got a few toy cars, because he collected them. And Gene got a few posters of his favorite games, shows, and movies.

Maria checked her phone and frowned

"I have to go boys, I love both of you so much. Stay out of trouble, especially you, Gene"

Both boys told their mom bye and then went up to their rooms to put up everything they got.

I hc that Maria is a single mother who works her add off for Dante and gene and I hope anyone reading this is able to tell.

I tried my best to write all of these characters in character buts it's kinda hard 😭😭
