It's you and only you

The blonde boy wakes up with a monitor beeping, squinting his eyes. He tried to open his eyes but was unable to do so because of the bright light.

After adjusting he was finally able to open his eyes and was confused seeing the white room and cream coloured curtains.

"Wh-where a-am I?"

His throat was too dry to let out any words.

The person sitting in the stool sprang up from his seat and held Felix's hands.

"Lix....Lix!"

'Such a familiar voice... Am I dead? Am I finally free?'

"Wa-t-er"

He whispered.

The person gave him a glass of water and helped him drink it.

He finally came back to reality.

"Lix, baby... Are you okay?"

The person was none other than, his love, his boyfriend, Hwang Hyunjin.

Tears started streaming down his face upon seeing his boyfriend's messed up situation.

"How... How did I end up here?"

Felix asked, his voice still hoarse.

"Seungmin and Jeongin were calling you but you never picked up. They called me after that and I told them I wasn't home so they hurried towards our apartment. But you weren't opening the door so they asked the tenant for the spare key... and when they opened you were... you were already unconscious and blo-bloody on the bathroom floor."

Hyunjin continued with teary eyes,

"I came back as soon as I could... It's already been 3 days since you are unconscious. I'm sorry baby... So so sorry... I shouldn't have left you alone. Please forgive me."

At this point Hyunjin was sobbing hard and Felix was crying.

"It's not your fault Hyun... I'm sorry too. I'm so sorry for not thinking about you and the others."

Felix cried out.

"Eomma called, said you never went home... I thought- I thought... You left me, because... because I'm pathetic and useless and I don't deserve to-"

Before Felix could complete his sentence Hyunjin cupped his cheeks and kissed him.

"Listen Baby, I'll never leave you, never in my entire life. You're everything to me Lix. And baby you're not pathetic and useless. You're the most beautiful soul I have ever seen. And about not going home, I went there... I was planning a surprise for you. It's our anniversary baby... I was gonna propose to you and Eomma knew about that so she called to tease me."

"And I misunderstood..."

Felix gave a light smile, eyes droopy.

"Remember Lee Felix, you're an amazing person, no one can brighten up my darkest days except you, baby. So please do the honour and accept my proposal of marrying this idiot man, my sunshine."

"No Hyun, it's you who lights up my dark world, I'm the Moon who gets the light from the Sun of my life, which is you Hwang Hyunjin. So yes, I'll without any hesitation accept your proposal."

The door suddenly burst open with a squealing Jisung coming to hug Felix but stopped seeing all the wires and Mrs. Hwang who was wiping her tears,

'Both mother and son are dramatic.'

Felix thought, with a chuckle.

"I thought you were at Jeju island?"

Felix raised his eyebrows at Jisung.

"Oh that can wait! My bestie just got engaged!"

Felix looked at Hyunjin with love filled eyes, and Hyunjin looked back.

'It's you and only you for me.'

And it was true, they are for each other.

It was okay, Felix probably will take more time to move on again, But it was okay. Being insecure isn't one's choice, but choosing to move on is. Having someone beside you to love you through your tough times, to assure you they're here for you is what will help you move on from your insecurity.
