*things will get hot and heavy*

March 29th, 2013

The concert ended with Eleanor in tears. She was so proud of her girl. Well, she wished she was her girl. It was time to make her her girl.

Andrea immediately pushed Eleanor backstage. She was ready for them to finally get it together. She couldn't stand having another night where Taylor called her crying about having "ruined her life" because Eleanor wasn't in it anymore. No, it was time for Taylor to get the live she sang about.

"She'll be here any second." Andrea assured Eleanor, a hand firmly gripping her shoulder. "You tell her everything." Eleanor opened her mouth to ask what she meant, but one look from the woman shut her mouth completely. "You both need to stop running from it."

With that, Taylor came around the corner and froze when she saw the athlete. She had been wrong. The Cubs hat was her love, of course it had been. She had actually come to the show. She cared.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" She gasped, her classic surprise face coming out. Her voice was breaking, not from exhaustion but from pure overwhelming joy.

The brunette smiled fondly, the tears returning to her eyes. "I had to return the favor and I literally live here."

The pair ran towards each other, meeting in the middle. Eleanor wrapped her up in her arms, holding on tightly with no plans of ever letting her go again. All of the weirdness, all of the anger, it all went away the moment she had Taylor in her arms. She was so fucking proud of the singer and she would be until the day she died.

"Nell!" Taylor giggled. "I'm all sweaty."

"I don't care." Eleanor placed the sweaty star back on the ground, but remained as close as possible. "You were incredible out there! I should've come to a show sooner. You were just...fuck I love you."

It just slipped out.

Taylor's eyes went wide and she tried to ignore the flutter in her chest. Eleanor obviously meant it as friends. They were nothing more, seeing as Eleanor had set that boundary herself. But her beautiful green eyes held another story, the story Taylor wanted to believe.

Eleanor brought her hand up to the back of her neck awkwardly. She looked passed Taylor, trying to avoid her expectant gaze. She knew she meant it, but now that it had slipped out, she was feeling too vulnerable. She was afraid Taylor might turn her down, even though it didn't seem like a real possibility. She just hated laying it all out on the table. She didn't like losing her power.

"I-uh, well, you know...I..." Eleanor blushed a deep red, deeper than Taylor's lipstick.

Taylor let a small smile spread across her face as she watched Eleanor search for the words to explain herself. She could've easily played it off, but she didn't. The athlete had meant it. She was ready for more.

She brought her hands up to Eleanor's face, forcing her to look into her eyes. "Nell." She captured her attention. "I love you too. I'm so sorry for how everything went down. It's always been you." Eleanor felt her heart stop as she looked into Taylor's genuine blue eyes. "And I really want to kiss you, but not here."

Taylor pulled Eleanor into her dressing room and snaked her arms around her neck, resting her arms on the athlete's broad, muscular shoulders. "Can I kiss you?"

Knowing she had no confident voice, Eleanor nodded, leaning in to close the gap.

Taylor pulled her in closely as their lips finally connected. The singer immediately thought back to the first time they kissed, in a disgusting bar bathroom. She had a fleeting thought that Eleanor was going to pull away again, call her out for being wrong yet again. But she didn't do that. Instead, the athlete wrapped her arms around Taylor's waist, making their bodies flush as she deepened their kiss.
