Chapter 3

Zac P.O.V:
20 Minutes later....
It's been awhile and I still have Fatima sitting on my lap. She has her face tucked into my neck and I can tell she still has her moms hand in hers. I got a notification on my phone from Andi letting me know that she is here. I decided to let Fatima know as well so she can let madam know she can let her in.
Zac- Ti? Baby I need you to let Madam know that Andi is at the door and it's ok to open it.
Fatima pulled back slightly and luckily her purse was up here and grabbed it and took out her phone and texted Madam before getting back comfortable on me. Not even a minute later there was a knock at the door before it opened and in walks Andi in all black clothes. She looked a little annoyed and confused as she surveyed the scene at hand before speaking.
Andi- Hey Zac, What's going on and what's with the sudden Code red for?
Zac- Hey Andi I want you to meet Ms.Wilson and it was her husband you seen on your way up here and everything was going fine tonight. Me, Fatima, and her Parents were having dinner and out of know where gun shots flew from the front window. Henry, Fatima's father was shot-
I felt Fatima shift when I said that before feeling another tear hit my neck. I turned my head to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead before facing Andi and continued where I left off.
Zac- When I seen the damage that was caused by his wounds and how much blood he was loosing from them and the nearest hospital was 30 minutes away from here-
Andi- That's why I seen Tyrells car is parked out front?
Zac- Yes and apparently the reasoning for the whole shooting in the first place is because Madam killed lotus and now Raphael is coming for revenge with the Mexican cartel. That's why sent you the code red.
Andi- So we are coming out of retirement right? Like I've been waiting 8 years to kill that- wait hold on Raphael isn't stupid enough to attack Fatima or her parents especially if he knows you guys are together.
Zac- That's my exact thought.
Before Andi could reply to me, Fatima's mother spoke up.
Mona- How are you going to handle this situation?
Andi turned to Ms.wilson and responded.
Andi- I'm sorry to say this but your home is compromised and with that being said the next step is to make sure your husband is Stable before heading to the property-
Zac- What property are you referring to ? Because last I checked your father destroyed it.
Andi- The original base of operations yes but remember the 200 acres of land that you invested in but wasn't able to use.
Fatima pulled herself into a sitting position on my lap and looked at me before speaking.
Fatima- You have land, Zac?
Zac- Had land, yes.
Andi- Have land you mean.( smirking)
Zac- Wait are you telling me that the property I thought I got but was told no buy the bank. I invested 150k and I never got the money back.
Andi- You never found it weird that the money never came back to you.
Zac- Then why the hell didn't they give it to me then.
Andi- My father being the petty man he was said to hold off on doing so.
Fatima turned to face Andi.
Fatima- Wait a minute your father prevented Zac from obtaining land that was rightfully his! What could possibly be the reason for to that especially since that could have been a way for Zac to provide for himself and others.
Andi- At the time of purchase Zac wasn't in the right position have access to it and these are his words. Plus you were with Karen still at the time. My dad was being a little petty but he said that the home on that property is not meant for the both of you as a couple. You know how that man is when comes to auras.
Zac- If his ass would have spoken to me first, he would know that I bought the property for myself and that I was going to fix up the house that was there and turn it into a comfortable home for myself and one day my wife and kids. Also how do you know this and why didn't you ever tell me?
Andi- When you gave me the code for us to handle "business", I called him right after you hung up. He told me about the place and how he may or may not have it off the grid somehow and I would think it's best you all go there.
I noticed Fatima stiffen up at what Andi has just said. I know me and Fatima are going to have our own personal conversation about everything that has been happening this week. She turned to Andi and started speaking.
Fatima- Who is your father to be able to pull that off?
Andi- My father is Jerome "Maverick" Barnes.
Fatima- I heard about him when I was younger. He was ruthless but still had a moral code when it comes to women and children. Doesn't he have connections overseas with politicians and army forces and everything he owns now is legalized.
Andi- Yea, that's my dad. Taught me how to blend in but also to stand out. Im thinking that's probably why Raphael targeted madam. He must still be trying to destroy women that are in the game that the cartel view as a threat.
Fatima- Those guys downstairs working on my father, were they apart of whatever you and Zac did all those years together.
I chose to respond to Fatima about these guys because I have them working on her dad.
Zac- Yea, they have and they are extremely good at what they do. I promise you Fatima, your father will walk you down the aisle.
I gently grabbed Fatimas chin and turned her to face me and I looked her in the eye before continuing.
Zac- I know this a lot to deal with at once and top of everything else that has transpired between us privately but know this Fatima I love you and i'm not going anywhere.
Fatima- I know you do and I love you too. I just want all who played a hand in this to get what's coming to them.
Zac- Don't worry that is definitely going to happen.
With that I leaned close to Fatima before pecking her twice on lips before pulling back from her and Fatima rested her head on my shoulder and closed her eyes. Mona had been standing at side of room and I looked overt her to see that she was already watching us with a small smile and few tears. she gave a thumbs up and I smiled back at her . soon I closed my eyes as well and fell asleep. After sometime I felt someone shaking me awake and when I opened my eyes I seen it was AndI in front of me.
Andi- Wake up Zac. It's been four hours and Jermaine needs to speak with you
Zac-  Ok Andi, Thank you for looking out.
Andi had walked back out room leaving me with Fatima still on my lap sleeping and Mona no where to be found. I turned Fatima face towards me and kissed her until she responded back before pulling away and I couldn't help but smirk at her before remembering what Andi had just said to him.
Zac- Baby, we gotta go downstairs Jermaine has to speak to me and I have a feeling it's about your father.
Fatima-  As scared as I am to hear what he has to say, let's go.
Zac- Don't worry baby.
Fatima gets off of me before I got up and we both stretched quickly before I followed her out of the door and  we walked downstairs and seen almost everyone in the living room and I seen Henry still laying on the table bandage up. before I can say anything Jermaine walked over to where me and Fatima was standing. Mona had came over as well. I can tell he waited for us before giving a update on Henry.
Zac- What happened?
Jermaine- He had two gun shots wounds one to the abdomen and the other to shoulder. If you hadn't thought to call me , he probably wouldn't have lived because the wound to the shoulder hit an artery and the wound to the abdomen caused a tear in his stomach and cracked a rib. The blood loss was severe enough to cause a stroke in those first 15 minutes with that being said He's alive and will make a full recovery soon enough. Right now he is still sleeping and we do still have hooked to a monitor and oxygen supply.
Mona- Thank you so much to both you guys for this. ( tears of joy rolling)
Fatima- Thank you for saving my dad.( Tears falling as well)
Mona walked away to Henry after giving me a another smile but this time with gratitude and Fatima pulled me in a deep kiss before pulling away and walking to where her parents were at. Jermaine continued to speak to me in a whisper.
Jermaine- It's my pleasure. Honestly I'm happy to return the favor and save his life like he did mine when I was teenager.
Zac- Wait Mr.Wilson was the judge that sent you military school and you ended training to become a surgeon.
Jermaine- Yep.
I was shocked by his response and before I was able to reply, he walked away to where Henry was resting to make sure he was alright to transfer safely.
