~A fatal meeting~

I got down on my knees in front of the nameless grave. My best friend was buried here and it was my fault. I dropped my package adjusting my large hat and the cloth covering my mouth. I lit a match so I could see the crusty planks of wood just feet above were my friend was resting. Eternally. My hand wavered and my mouth trembled, but I refused to let a tear drop until I said what I had to say. "Hey..I know this is a..t-terrible last meeting with you. I know you're looking down at me and you'll never forgive me for what happened to you. I'm soo sorry..and I know a sorrry c-can't.." At this I paused as my small voice cracked and wavered with the overwhelming, washing emotion. I bowed my head seemingly sheilding myself from the reality of this. That my guide, my entertainment, my doctor and most of all my--. My pained thoughts were cut off when the sound of a spinning gun chamber was right behind me. Then a click. Then another spin. I kept my head down and snuffed my lit match with my rough glove. Adrenaline pulsing through my form. Why hadn't I even noticed the brightness of my surroundings? I slowly turned my head to the right immediately noticing a few lit kerosene lanterns as well as a couple of new bodies. I gasped and scrambled back away from them. Behind me were two more forms and they quickly seized me just as I'd reached out for leverage. "O-ow! W-w-what's going on here!?" I try to sound tough, still being choked with tears. My feet weren't touching the ground and a foreign scent reached my nose. "Baby baby..you've found yourself in a very promising situation." A man in a lavish, black and white checkered suit jacket emerged from the hillside out from the darkness. The way he sauntered appeared to me as his ego just swelling up like an active volcano. "You and Jesup, tie her up," is all he muttered past me, toward the two asswipes holding my thin arms unnaturally behind me. "Look! You don't understand! I just--" "No I understand baby doll. I understand that you might have something I need." The guy's eyes slide up and down my body. "But sadly I'm not talking about that precious kitty this time." He said sadly, pointing the gun at my naughty bits. He went over and took my package in his large hands stroking the outside. "I know this is the one." And just then I felt the rough rope close and tighten around my hands infront of me and they even tied my arms so I couldn't move them individually. "No! P-please! You can have whatever you want! Just d-don't hurt me!" I begged, bottom lip poking out unconsciously. The trembling started from my hands and traveled up my body at lightspeed until I was visibly shaking. "Wow is it cold out? Because you're shakin' like a stripper." The main man said. The box already destroyed and opened. "Ah, so pretty!" He muttered pulling what looked like a large poker chip out. It appeared to be Platinum. "We've hit the jackpot boys!" He said glancing over the uninteresting object. 'That was all I was carrying?' I thought in confusion. But maybe that thing had some serious value if I was in a situation as bad as this one. "Ok, now we've gotten what I needed." He looked around spotting a half dug hole gesturing toward it. "You, finish digging tht hole." And it only took a few seconds for the dirty looking guy to finish it. My heart stopped, the chamber of someone's gun spun once again. This time it was the guy with the checkered jacket. "Now don't take this personally, but I'd been after this sweet piece of platinum for a long while." At that I could hear something roll around just down the side of the hill. The guys didn't flinch. "Baby. The game was rigged from the start." He pointed a very expensive piece of metal at my forehead and tears spilled over the brim of my eyes. The trembling became too much and I couldn't think of anything but a little prayer in my head. I closed my eyes so tight I thought they were going to rip and then BANG!

A shot glass was slammed down beside me on the bar, folloqed by deep, hearty laughter. I looked around, puzzled. I'd found myself in the club upstairs. I waa at the TOPS hotel and not down on my knees begging for my life. "Are you ok, ma'am?" The bartender asked drying a drink glass. "Yeah..just not feeling great sir." I say in a tiny voice. It was my regular one and i lowered myself off of the stool turning to leave the club. It was too loud, my head was spinning and I couldn't yhink straight. I was holding my head in my hand attempting to escape until a hand grasped my arm a little tighter than what I wouldv'e liked. "Well well," at that voice I sobered up quickly, twisting on my heels around toward the source. "Baby! I've never seen you here. Such nice clothes, but they'd look better on my floor." He'd said leaning in close to husk in my ear, backing me up against the bar. My breath was gone now. Not because of his degrading comment, but because of the man himself. It seems that he didn't remember me, but remembering the night in question..he hadn't seen my face because of the scarf. And he couldn't recognize my hair because of the hat I was wearing. "Have you been around here before?" I shook my head. "Well welcome to the Tops baby doll. Let me show you the most important parts." He winked and my heart stopped.
